All I can say is the gunners are flat out. They can't handle the back to back games in such short periods. Oh well next season!!

What are you talking about - Liverpool won 5 in 2001, Man Utd won 3 in 1999.

Arsenal's Reserves are arguably better than half of the Premier League.

From what I read it was the same old story of us dominating possession and making the better chances but just not finishing. We score great goals but we're not great at scoring goals!

That's strange - were you prophetising the match on Saturday?

Congratulations to the Mancs of east M62, 2007 champions. There's no catching them with this kind of luck.

As unfair as the result was I have to a admit that I was hoping for a ManU win as Ive come to accept that we're not going to catch them and we need to concentrate on overtaking Liverpool and possibly even Chelsea.

Liverpool fans everywhere must be gutted though

Now that soothed the pain a little - both teams were capable of scoring with Liverpool the closest to lower the chopper in the first half. Some frantic defending at the last few minutes after Gudjohnsen FINALLY scores at Anfield but it was all over.

    Liverpool 2(2) - 2(1) Barcelona

    Champions dethroned.

RAWKites, in jubilation began to look to the next round, the quarters and ask the most obvious of questions, who do you want for the QF?

    We want Lille.

As long as we don't get FC Hollywood I couldn't care less.

So my predictions was so so, Milan & Chelsea barely made it. PSV did the Gunners as I expected and Valencia bored Inter out. Biggest surprise is Roma knocking Lyon out with an away win. Bayern simply was too good for a, at the moment, measly Real. ManU have had their fun and will go out in next round no matter what.

If I have to chose I say give us Roma.

Haven't been around for a while as I've been hanging my head in shame!

    Can't believe we're playing for 3rd place!

With Man Utd's scintilating display, as well as the knack to win matches when they play crap, we can almost make the conclusion that the Premier League is going to East Lancs this season. Chelsea can push them all the way, yes but to see Utd dropping points is probably going to be as rare as Liverpool scoring a goal.

By the way, we'll be locking sabre's again - this is your only chance for that 3rd, while I have some idea that Rafa probably think's 4th is fine, and concentrate on No 6.

I hope your right, I really do!

Fend, yes, what with all the money we've invested in the stadium I'm sure things will get rough if we don't qualify but I think we can be certain of at least 4th place though, I hope!

Doesn't sound like anybody is interested in England again, no? ;)

The win against Andorra was somewhat flat if not for Superman doing what he usually does again - pulling his team out of the mire. It is probably a lot clearer now that the central midfield partnership of Hargreaves and Gerrard should be allowed to continue at let Lampard sit on the bench.

0-0 draw with Israel was as interesting as poking yourself with a plastic fork, so nothing much to talk about apart from the English fans going on a mutiny of sorts.

McLaren, really - never rated him to lead England as he hasn't really done that much at Boro. Even Sven's a lot more tactical than he is when it comes to football.

The big heads in the FA are probably looking at Euro 2008 as the end term for the guy now - as most followers of England are.

Oh, cracker of a start for the New Wembley as six goals were scored in a spectacle of a game between the Italian and English U21s.

Man Utd winning the league title this season is (almost) a foregone conclusion. If they do allow Chelsea to creep up and pull the rug off their feet I'm sure the whole of England bar United supporters will be delirious.
