which of these 2 rackets would be better for an attack/control based player.

You will have to check if there is drop in available. Call Grant who runs the club.

The journey is over. It was fun. I really hoped I would like this racquet because it's the nicest Yonex paintjob ever to come out. Still it was too light. I will buy my trusty old colour AT700 4U and get back on track with my own game instead of trying to adapt it to a sexy and good racquet that's not for me.

If that's the case, you should prob try AT900P instead. That is definately more head heavy. One of my friend uses the AT700 3U and has recently switched to the AT900P..... and he's loving it! He tried my AT900T b4 but didn't really like it.

It really depends on players. Majority finds the Technique more user friendly as it is not too stiff. However for those who preservere and play with Power more often.. they find it much better than Technique.

A lot of people have said the Power is better as an overall singles racket than to be used in doubles. It seems like it has punch to it, but is really difficult to defend. I guess the Technique is more of an all- around racket.

after 3 sessions of trying to get used to the at900P, i have now given up and switched back to my ns9000x (both 3u)

the at900p is just so slooooow on defence, defence in doubles is a real pain! wish i hadnt bothered buying 2 of them now! wish id gone with the technique.

incidentally i dont think the at900p is significantly more powerful then the ns9000x, it does fell more powerful, but i think the head speed of the ns9000x makes up for the head heaviness of the at900p.

incidentally i am a wristy player, which is probably why i prefer the ns9000x to the at900p, its just a better all round racket.

Yea, you probably should've gotten a Technique. I heard a lot of power can be generated from use of wrists.

I think I may like the AT900 Power in 4U but I don't want to anymore. I've already taken the dive and almost drowned. I have a few important events coming up that I don't want to risk doing poorly in. I'm just going to go with what I've tried and liked.

Guys, what would you recommend for a guy who uses the AT800OF 4U for doubles?

I'd love to keep it. Best looking racquet ever. Unfortunately it's too light for me. I need the money to buy my AT700's.

How are you finding yours Matt?
