    Hi,

Do any of you know good stringers in/near the Fremont area? (Bay Area). The kids that string at UBC these days don't know anything about stringing and do the same tension on the mains and crosses even after explaining to them why there should be a 10% difference. Theres always BadmintonAlley, but its a bit of a drive to their Sunnyvale store....

    Thanks!!

Try APAC, they're in Union City and i think it would be closer for you since you're in the Fremont area. They're a fairly new club but I don't think it would hurt to give them a try.

Yup, their quality has really gone down. I went in to string my racket, a SOTX Woven-8 and they were like, what kind of racket is this and looked at me. On top of that, they strung the supposed 28 pounds at a real 22 pounds, maybe. What's even worse I have to say is one string job where the knot wasn't tied corectly and the strings just fell off the racket.

Thanks everyone for the replies! My friends and I had numerous problems w/ rackets strung by them recently. As there aren't that many options nearby, maybe I will talk to the coaches to see if we can improve the quality of the work. They are very nice and always very helpful.
