I like the new chart to the right which should indicate the balance from left (head light) to right (head heavy).
I assume it indicates the balance since I cant read japanese.

The design of the AT900 T is good and different, but it's a shame they couldn't come up with a different colour for the AT900 P instead of reverting back to the original At700 colour, perhaps this is why they changed the At700?

anyone could translate the japanese words? :D

the gummetal was placed strangely at the bottom of the frame for the P-type, and what is on the shaft? ultimum ti or gummetal?

oh ya i prefered the old type of smooth gforce ti strip.. this one looked so rough

something i like to know is why yonex would sell 2 models (AT700 and 900) that look, play and priced similarly? My wild guess is at900 is closer to 800of than 700.

The stuff in the head is actually called Micro Ti. It is different.

The 800 in the chart I believe is an oversight. Sometime ago I mentioned that the charts are produced by the distributors for each region and that is why there are differences. There are different grip sizes and weights available for different regions so the rackets will be different in characteristics. The frame itself does not change but certainly the specs get effected by the weight(U) and the grip size. As Cooler mentioned in a thread somewhere else charts are good for testing eyes! Not a bible for selecting a racket!

One final thing the pictures you are seeing of the 900 do not reveal what the final product is like when you see it up close. They are very nice and subtle in their paint scheme. As for how they play it is best you try it yourself and not let Cooler, Ants, the chart, or myself tell you how they are. Of course you can use it as reference point for the feedback and Ants know's his stuff but he's not you! Take this to heart though the 900 is a higher end racket so it is going to have it's fans and detractors like any other Yonex model. If it was a duplicate of the 800 then why would they change it? Some will like the way it plays that used the 800 previously and some won't. Some who tried the 800 but didn't like it will probably like the 900 over the old 800. Wait until you get to try it yourself!

BTW if you are in Edmonton at Nationals this Friday I will have the new catalogue to share the pictures and colours with you! I won't bring the rackets in though! Sorry!

I think it looks slightly better than the NS 9K though.

I quite like the AT-900T colors, quite different, Yonex starting to get more adventurous? Looks like lit BBQ charcoal - white, red and black = burning hot!!! Possible psychological advantage there :p ?

I was at Tad's last night, and asked them when they'd have the AT-900s. They said in a week or two.

BTW, they already have the NS7700 available. That's a nice racket, too!
