hmmm, resorting to diversion tactic huh?
First, LD was attacked for being arrogant in 2 or more threads. When the rebuttal to that claim proved other wise, you guys change tactic and now say it's the media fault for misquoting TH. If TH want to protect his pristine image, why doesn't he go out his way to make a corrective statement public, to the media?

Since when have I "changed tactics"? There are no "tactics" here, sounds like you're being paranoid. If you don't agree with what I am saying (as I knew you wouldn't) then that's fine. But I'm stating what I believe to be true. The only reason I did not state this before is that I had not really thought about it. Ants made a damn good point and I agreed with it. Simple as that. No need for this "you guys" as if "we're" (we as in who anyway?) some sort of alienated group with the sole purpose of backing up every false move Taufik makes. No I'm just sharing a personal opinion thankyou very much.

And as ants said - perhaps he doesn't have the time to correct himself as he's busy in the AG :D.

Look I'm not some sort of blind Taufik fan, I like Taufik but I can see his faluts. I just happen to be the type of person who likes to see the best in people. And that means that these faults mean a bit less to me than someone like you for instance cooler. In my eyes some of the reactions to this sort of thing are a bit hasty and a bit extreme. And many people seem to judge Taufik on a personal level when most of these people have probably never met him. I haven't, and that's why I'm not so quick to judge him.

I know I can't change your mind about him but I like to express my own. You don't have to patronize my every post on this subject.

I'd also like to make it clear that I have nothing against Lin Dan. I like him too. I have nothing to do with the way TH and LD may feel about each other though so I'll leave that to them.

Lin Dan should take no notice of Taufik..just stay above his level..taufik is just so jealous of lin dan..if taufik is scared to lose, he should quit playing badminton..noone would miss him anyway..he brings controversy in his country and abroad..thats not what we need..

Sorry if anyone takes offense at what I say (I really don't think it's possible as I always try to pick my words carefully - still you never know). Just hope no one takes anything I say personally...

It's just seeing so many insulting (to me at least) posts around the place whenever this sort of thing happens. I just feel I have to express my own views. And sometimes I get pretty defensive :).

Take a look at all the threads in BC dominated by TH. Take away TH, what else to talk about in BC other than downloading games to watch. I think Kwun is happy for all the controversy and excitement, oh also not to forget Indra, it make this website popular...hahahaha and lol (now that I know what lol means).

but taufik related topics are mostly negatism (although they are in topic discussion). It's like saying lets embrace smoking and casino as they bring jobs and boost the economy but completely ignore their negatives:p

Well, maybe those are just personal opinion of those people on TH. Not that I dont like Taufik, but to me, he is a good player on court, an idol. But his character, is well, you-know-it. Maybe it's because of that, his reputation towards us audience is not that good so topics about him are mostly negative. But I would say he IS a good player, he plays well.
Plus, Im sure LD is not the only player who is like that. And Taufik is not the only player who is afraid of losing. As a badminton player like them, they face a lot of pressure. So to me,(my personal opinion) most badminton players are actually afraid of losing, deep beneath their hearts. Perhaps we should leave this arguement to them. Only they know what is actually going on.

Not totally agreed. There are plenty of reasons why Taufik said this and you will never know.. It might be a reporter asking Taufik 'Do you like Lin Dan?' , with Taufik's personality, he would definitely say 'I dont like Lin Dan'. The next day, the paper wrote Taufik said this n that. So at this point, it's the media fault and not Taufik's. The media is just trying to make things big

When did I said TH negatism drives the popularity of BC? I am implying TH is so popular that the majority of the discussions in BC is directed at him, along with Indra's comments, do not hurt the popularity of BC instead generate lots of interest. Bring your comments to church on Tuesday when we play badminton and we talk about this damn topic!

Indeed, Taufik stirred up everything as he pleased.

If I remember correctly, Taufik was much nicer back to five-seven years ago. But I don't remember what caused him to behave like an old brat since then.
