Oh my god... zhang ning has lose to yip py ( 2 straight games 19-21 19-21) in the quarter final of the woman singles.. now China has only left Xie Xing Fang in the single to grab the gold..

I also feel sadabout ZN lost, but i think china still has the chance to take gold,XIE XF can deliver it,coz her strong contender is only WANG C,but there's a curse for whoever can beat ZN she can be the winner just like WANG LIN did in CHINA MASTER, Judith did in MACAU and WANG YIHAN did in WORLD CUP

From her name's spelling, YIP Pui Yin sounds like a native Hong Kong player instead of an import from Mainland China (anyone can confirm?). Good Job, Yip Pui Yin, I'm proud of you.

She is indeed a 100% hongkie. Not some imported players from China.

Great. Can't wait to see a Yip Pui Yin and XXF final. One is from the place I came from, the other one has the same last name as mine. Not sure who to root for. :p :D

YPY's skills is nth exceptional compare to ZN but she has excellent fighting spirit which maybe its the reason why she won. She plays like a guy, dive here and there (maybe its the height or footwork problem), she remembers me bout Foo Kok Keong's nvr say die attitude.

With the NSS, much more is possible with ZN's upset being one of them.

woah.. really supprised that Yip toke down ZN
saw her performance in Macau open and she was like the opposite of
wong sung, lacking the fine detailed skill but raw offensive power..
Jump smash followed with a net rush..
i would imagine ZN could easily drive her outta gas..like what happened back in macau open final..
guess she managed to do enough damage before the energy bar goes empty this time..
really interested in seeing the video, hope smone got it taped down and upload

Or an all Cantonese women's singles final. I believe XXF speaks better Cantonese than Wang Chen. :)
