Pro Ace is quite a brand of their own actually....but of course no racquet brand would be unique in their technology or materials cos there will definitely be some similarities in the design or the materials used....even Victor's Power Waves or Super Nano models have grommets similar to the Yonex's Muscle Power....hence can i conclude that Victor is a clone brand? Obviously i can't...cos they too have their unique patented designs....

Conversely Yonex's NS7700 has the vibration damper thingy at the cone in which many other brands have already started using even earlier.....so can i conclude Yonex is a clone brand?

Proace have made quite a few good models that is based on their own design for e.g. one of them is the ABS Power1000, i dont think there are any other racquets using that design.....so its not really fair to label them as a clone brand unless they keep coming out with models that look exactly like Yonex's models except with a slight change in the name...Proace dont always do that....they do have unique designs and model names.

Hi moonwalker, very nice to see some1 here from vn in this forum.
What i meant was that I had known nothing about ProAce until I came back VN this past summer. I didnt know the brand has some very good models, like the Sweetpot 1000, so i didnt buy any. Now my main racket just snapped and I regret not buying a few ProAce for spares.
I think ProAce is very good value for money, but if its price is over £70, then "Well, not for me" . After my first racket death, the lovely baby MP88, Cant think of buying any rackets cost over £40 EVER. First love is always sweet but it costs u dearly when u lose it, if u know what i mean. ( oh man, Am I in love with my 88? :(

the thing i like about proace rackets is the widebody... but this brand is hard to find in sg... i think i might give the sweetspot 1000 a try (will anyone let mi try his?? :p ) as recommended by a few people here... but then, a change from the normal oval-shape frame to the isometric frame..:(

no im not a yonex fan, yonex got cool rackets, but I still prefer Victor's quality. ProAce and Apacs come from same company, OH MY BAD, APACS is the one cloning not ProACE

hmmm... I like yonex, they got fantastic racquets, (like the armortec series) just that their price is much too high for a student like me :D

You can always go for widebody 55 by proace, quite a reputable model that has been reproduced over and over again....and it's widebody with oval shape....

selling quite cheap..but don't know if it is in good condition though.

vince_kan, widebody 55 seems to be the racket i used to play with a few years back. I could not find it anymore so i switched to lightning 828 when i saw one ay queensway. Maybe i'll go check out this widebody 55 and see if it was the one i had used. If im not wrong its also around $60 bucks. hehe:p

cheap because the starting bid is $50 only..

lol, the owner said he has already committed to a buyer who is willing to pay $70 for the acket when the racket has a starting bid of $50.

vince_kan, maybe i got my previous racket type wrong...:p

i just bought a proace racquet...nanotech 70... i don't understand why most of the racquets manufacturers out there trying to copy yonex brand name... sounds similar to nanospeed from yonex....
