Voting has opened for the 2006 BBC Sports Pesonality of the Year award. For the first time, the public will create the shortlist of 10 contenders. Closing date for nominations is the 14th November and the shortlist will be announced on the 4th December. Badminton needs someone in the top 10!! In order to pool all of the badminton votes please vote for Gail Emms to get her on the shortlist. The person you vote for has to be from the UK to count. Vote for Gail on the BBC web site: click here Please forward this information on to as many of your friends, family, colleagues as possible so that we make sure that Gail gets on to that shortlist!! It will be great for badminton.
are you sure about this? anyway, those who interested please go to BBC website directly. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/tv_and_radio/sports_personality_of_the_year/6080190.stm
That's a pretty silly excuse for sports personality of the year. (Not that Gail is a bad personality or anything) I guess there arn't many personalities in the UK right now. Why not Nathan Robertson? I wanted to vote for Ordinary Harrison, or Wayne Looney.
Because maybe you want to support badminton? Maybe it would be nice to get a badminton player in the public spotlight rather than a footballer? Gail is by far the most popular badminton player in the UK (like it or not) - by voting for other badminton players the vote will be diluted and no badminton player will ever be mentioned.
