In my opinion, those of you who have no stretch marks should be happy. Stretch marks are ugly. I am affected on my back, underarms, and a bit near the knees (they seem to be getting worse on the knees the more I play badminton). Well, there is no cure for stretch marks, I asked my doctor. Only surgery which is a waste of money. However, I forgot to ask if there was anything I could do to prevent further stretching. Anyone know? So, who else is affected?
I think that there is a cream called mederma that pregnant woman use to help with stretch marks. That is the only thing I am aware of.
i've read somewhere (a long time ago) that banana skins contain a chemical that will tighten the skin, removing stretch marks...it says to mash up the skin and apply it to your skin and wrap it with some bandage for some time (can't remember how long though)
There is no real solution to skin marks aside from time and surgery, and neither is all that great. There's a lot of expensive creams marketed as a gosend but they usually do little if anything. (A few creams have even been found to wrosen stretch marks.) All you can really do is lotion yourself everyday and hope they don't get worse. (So far as I know anyway. If you do find a cure, I'd want to know! )
i wonder how old are you.try taking more Vitamin A and C to improve your skin condition take more water too. as for stretches you can try to play more lobbings rather than drop shot or smashes, the best is to train up your footwork to get to the birdie on time instead of bending so hard to get the ball.
I'm 17 years of age. I guess stretch marks is a part of life and we can't do nothing about it. :crying:
I`ve never seen this on anyone playing badminton.... I`m sorry for you-can anyone explain in which situation you get this...I mean its crazy if you get it every time you stretch your knee or something...how dies it look?
It occurs when you don't have enough skin, so your skin stretches. Pregnant women get stretch marks because over 9 months, their skin stretchs a lot to make room for the child. It occurs in some individuals if you have a growth spurt or don't get enough vitamins. Let's just say stretch marks are like scars where you get from being whipped but much uglier if its very serious.
