wow!! thats a great article!! and he's plannin to retire at the age of 28??? aiks.... im gonna miss him a lot!!!!
yup, it's a pity if he retires at that age. Yup, i think that's a great article too that's why scan for you all
thanks for the scan. i still think it's scandalous how little they make. if he was the world number 2 in tennis, ie Rafa Nadal, he could retire on his earnings from 1 season alone.
yeah...thanks a lot!! well... u cant compare he salary that he earns with Nadal...diff countries hv diff practice...
Yes indeed, the huge disparity in prize money between golf/tennis and badminton/table tennis is a sick joke. And maybe, if you don't mind me voicing my opinion on the following: spectators can tolerate watching tennis matches at tournaments with lots of prize money, matches that can exceed three hours. But the 15points three sets system that has been abolished in favor of the 21point rally system is considered to take too long. Bah!
Humble.... I have great respect for him as person and sportsman. He is so humble.Man he can do great lengths with this personality. I am sure people will appreciate for what he is doing. Cool stufff!! Thanks for uplodaing this...
agreed, it's an idiotic notion. anyways, hopefully badminton will continue to gain popularity and then the prize money and coverage will continue to improve.
financial Good article. Interesting about his earnings. Perhaps he can follow Amber Chia footsteps to maximise on his popularity. Can be an insurance agent as well which some badminton players are into in. Hopefully he doesn't follow those seniors who failed in business. Sad case. Was told that Foo Kok Keong is in Singapore. Is this true? rgds
Thanks for sharing the scanned article.. suetyan, thanks for sharing the article...a very interesting article into the life of one of BWF's current top MS player... ...yes, esp. on the Retirement/business endeavour(s) after he retires.....Hmm, i wonder also, whether he will pursue some kind of a post-high school education degree or not after he retires??.. Further, after reading the article, it looks like he has in mind set on a solid foundation(at least financially)....heck, even after doing some conversion, his total earnings alone this yr, RM320,000 -> US$80,000, is very good(yet it mentioned he hasn't received any additional incentives such as houses, apt or the likes from the govt.)..and last, like Blurry D mentioned above, i also concur on LCW's humble and down to earth attitude..
Oh LCW stay in Cheras, my home is somewhere in Cheras too. Anyone know which sidek brother went bankrupt?
thx very much for sharing... a very sensible and practical argument in this article... lcw seems matured not only in the games but also in worldly matters... he sets up good example for his fans and followers... thats a great thing.
