did they say how they expected to keep track of how many purchases a person makes? electronic passport stamping like with cigarettes or alcohol? seems a bit extreme to be using such measures for badminton racquets though!

Maybe the foreigners will be providing proof of passport or id before purchase.

Have another look, the 800DF is there - inbetween the AT250 and the NS8000.

I think it's more about defence vs offense.

Anyone have anything to say about the MP-99? Just bought one! Haven't used it yet but can't wait!! Is it suited for singles or did I screw that one up...?

I use AT800DE for singles and doubles, and I do fine. In other words, what the yonex chart says about singles vs doubles rackets isn't necessarily for you to follow to heart. your feel for the racket determines what you use.

Sweet, thanks. My fellow singles player at my school plays with an AT8000DE and he does fine.... Im pretty sure the chart just confuses things. In any case I think I'll be fine with the MP-99

    no problem
come to think of it, the best singles player at my school plays with an MP-99. He used to use a Ti-10, then broke it and switched to ns7k, then switched to ns8k, and finally to mp99. He loves the racket, but I can't seem to get much power out of it, so i gave up and kept playing with my at800de. I like ns8k more though. in the end, it's the skills that matter. the racket changes very little... it does make you feel better when you play though =D

looking closely at the new graph it sorta resemble steh rgaphic line of the function y=x. with some variations...

so, one could say that teh solid feel=power, and the soft-feel=control/defense.

and if that were so yonex's chart has only gotten less informative:p

    At800

The chart has AT800 on the singles (right) side, but on the official website the racquet has clearly labelled "design for doubles", which AT800 should have been placed on the doubles (left) side of the chart. Does anyone know why it is like that?

    Thanks~

Left and right are no longer for singles/doubles. If you look carefully left is "soft feel on impact" and right is "solid feel on impact"

    hope this helps
