I have just recieved a yonex shirt that I must wear to tournaments representing my badminton club. It's white with some red and some black patches under the sleeves. The instructions say to wash in warm water and to not use the drygin machine or it will shrink and i would have the little yonex logo all wrinkly. I am afraid to use bleach or the color will fade but I don't want the color to fade onto the white either! How do you guys wash your yonex shirts withough having them stain or having the color fade?

I wash my white yonex-shirts by hand, and just let them dry out.
Other colours, just in the washing machine, but never in the dryer!

hey i just wash mine on a non-colorfast cycle in the washing machine and line dry or put them on the radiators, a very cool tumble would suffice if you were in a rush but defiinitely not on a hot tumble or for more than 5 minutes

Just hand wash and drip dry under the shade with maybe 70% sunlight.

this is most probably your 1st yonex shirt. the first time is always like that.
once u have more and play very often, u will be too lazy to wash by hand.
for me, i just dump everything into the washing machine with lower temperatur, of course with white and color shirts separated.

My mom just puts mine in the washer with other whites, and hangs dry on a clothesline.

OK, for those of you who would like to surprise your mommies and do your own washing do the following :

    1. Set the machine on a low temperature (the higher the temperature the more likely the colour is to fade or run)
    2. Don't use detergent that contains 'whiteners' or 'optical brighteners' or anything similar. These whitening agents will be great for whites but will make your colours fade.
    3. Wash your clothes inside out (again, the colour is less likely to fade).

Unless your garment says 'Handwash only' it should be OK in the washing machine at low temperatures.

Here endeth my washing machine lesson!
