My predictions yesterday had gone totally awry, but I will keep trying ... - Lee Hyun Il vs. Bao Chunlai This Lee does not understand Mandarin. Plus I really hope I can watch an interesting final. - Chen Hong vs. Lin Dan Well, it's Lin's title to lose, once PG, Taufik and LCW are gone, IMHO. - Zhang Ning vs. Petra Overzier Who would have thought CHN-GER semifinals in WC ladies' singles. Zhang simply the best in the world right now, possibly already a legend. - Xie Xingfang vs. Xu Huaiwen Xu will find Xie a bit too high to scale. - Fu/Cai vs. Eriksen/Hansen Let's have an interesting final. My heart and mind concur. The Chinese pair looks sharp. But I admit I have not seen the Danes play this WC. - Clark/Blair vs. Jonas/Lars Seriously, this WC has many shock results and one of the biggest is of this English pair beating Kido/Setiawan. But the Danes not only good, but experienced (something the Indons lack) as well, so no brainer who I will predict here. - Gao Ling / Huang Sui vs. Wei Yili / Zhang Yawen Wei/Zhang does not convince me at all. If they win, it will be the biggest joke in the WC. - KKK/WPT vs. Clark/Kellogg. Well, well. Before the WC, if you had asked me to name one Malaysian player/pair who will play in the final, the mixed doubles would have been my last answer (even more improbable than WS and WD). Not only are they the only surviving entry in the semis, they seem to have a reasonable chance of landing the title, after events conspired to have thrown the big names out of the draw. (Note: When I say reasonable, I do not mean they have a high chance of landing the title, I mean they have just an equal chance as the other surviving XD pairs.) Clark/Kellogg may have thrown out Zhang/Gao but they are arguably still the choice opponents for Koo/Wong if other choices are Robertson/Emms and Sudket/Saralee. - Robertson/Emms vs. Sudket/Saralee I wish to have an all-SEA final, but I think the English are very fired up, and Emms was excellent in the quarters yesterday.
as like around 20 years ago ......... INA took times before Ardy/Alan/Eddy/Joko etc. and many MD as well as Super Susi ruled the Badminton world ......... and thanked to Mr. Tong Sinfu from China as a Head coach that time. how to take action if no money ? anyway see how in the next year in Kualalumpur and the IBF Super Series.
yes and no :crying: i just wish ESPN would cover such events instead of soccer, soccer, soccer and other stuff
Koo/Wong lost 21-14, 21-12. What a breakthrough for the English pair. Are they going to make it an all-British final?
