Thanks Scott, I was aware of this information. I too wanted to buy the Vortex 44 but it's not available in the U.S. and quite pricey from Canada, over $100 USD.
thought i'd post this in here... i don't like starting new threads so this is close enough. new shoes coming out from hi-tec.. not available in the UK til august. so i'm just after your opinion on the cosmetics... you can see the product at: http://www.pwp.com/mensbadmintonshoes.asp?id=8&cat=Hi-Tec badminton shoes let me know - fairly likely i'll be buying these - my hi-tec elite's are battered... plus i ilke the black and red - it matches my kit colors :d Coops
The back heel looks a bit high. I think the Viper was one of the best looking shoes ever (red or blue). Somehow these remind me of Sketchers trainers. But certainly not offensive
I've also got a pair of those Switchbacks. Went from a pair of worn out SHB-89's to these. They are indeed stiffer and heavier than the yonexes but also more durable, and they give more support (at least, for my feet) By the way, if you want to buy another pair (don't know if you still use them..) Get a pair of yellow ones! They look a hell of a lot better:
Thanks for the inf Erwin but after lots of testing, I went back to the 99LEs. They are significantly more mobile and gives me better feel for the court. So, I'm staying put with the 99LEs (with SuperFeet Green insoles of course).
