pitty with sotx is...there's no brochure...and the mainiste is crap... www.sotxsports.de is as close as you get at the moment, and it's not featuring the d900..sorry...I hope you can make out the stats. if not: ask away here...
Do you own any Sotx Jerby? If so, can you explain why there is so much excitement about them in these forums? are they any different from Yonex, Carlton, Inflight, etc?
to me it's exciting because I'm starting a shop I own a woven7. and like it despite the bad grip ( not Sotx's fault. Nico, the belgium importer, only imports a very small gripsize..way too smal for my hands...) It swing very nice. and gives a solid "punch" feelign when you hit. something I miss in yonex's rackets. what's great about their rackets (for me) is that they provide clear and full statistics with each rcaket (length, stiff, balance, weight, max tension, material) so you can pick a racket reasonably close to your personal preference (if you know what you want) Also their racket-line is veyr broad. yonex, as an example, gives a new series every year and claims all previous makes are redundant and less powerfull, bla bla. Sotx makes series (not eveyr year, afaik, last year nothgin new, this year 4 smaller series: Diamonds,ak, superlights, jedi's) with sotx every racket is not better/worse but just different somethignw ich reflects my own opionion. off course, they're not equally priced, mainly due to (off course) marketing and profit, but also materials used. So don't go buying teh most expensive because it 'should' be the best. did I miss anything?
Well I did notice that there was no prices on that site, so I tried to pick the ones I think I would be interested in. I narrowed it down (took some time as specs are all different, however the difference can only me a few mm's on the balance point or 0.5 on the stiffness meter) to the Woven 9 (or 9A) and the Woven 12 (or 12A). The Ti-16 is also very tempting (it seems to be spec'd like the much adored Yonex Ti-10. You said you were opening a shop for them, is there any chance you can get some early stock that I can purchase?
actually. in our first shipment there will be w6's w9's 11's and possibly a w12 and d900. (the 'possibly' part is I'm ahving a few hits with it, if I like... I keep) prices are respectivly 65,80,105(115,115) euro's. just have a little faith (and a lot of partience) actually, the first order shoudl've had some 8's..but strangely enough sotx is out of stock....weird... good part (for you) is, when I do order them for you, you get to specify strings/tension grip and possibly colour
o shush you ...I'm already jumping up and down in excitement:d....they'll be shipping it soon...O Boy O Boy O Boy! feels liek christmas.. the new strings might even be more exciting
BS-963, try that first. In fact, I tried it again recently on another person's racket (Woven 9) and I think it might very well be the best string I ever tried. I have buy another 5 packs and try it in detail to know for sure.
alreday ahead of you. when I read "Catgut+synthetic" is asked for all the 11's the 12 and the d900 to be strung wiht 963 I'll possibly strign a 9 with it, for demo purpose..and personal testing...
Maaaaan, you Netherlanders need to practice English reading comprehension (or maybe just you). I said, "I think it might very well be the best string I ever tried. I have buy another 5 packs and try it in detail to know for sure."
Dutch is too general no? Holland is part of the Netherlands and more exact, no? Please enlighten. P.S. I'll try to get the BS-963 tomorrow and test it on Monday at The Pot.
Let me know when they are available, I have got in touch with jamesd20, and he has a few Wovens left, the Woven 12 which I am interested in, he has, I might just try that one out first to see if I want to buy any more Wovens.
well, the country you can call the country Holland (in dutch we say a as in "call") or The Netherlands (Nederland in Dutch, the first 'e' as "say" the second 'e' as in f*ck and the 'a' as call) the language is Dutch (hollands in dutch) the people are Dutchmen (hollanders or Nederlanders in dutch) so Holland and the Netherlands are the same But I díd borderline pass on my english reading (57 out of 100. need 55 to pass) english speaking and grammar are usually 70-85 out of 100) ....sotx was it?
