Hello, I am searching for a new raquet. I am a singles, mostly defensive player focusing on drop shots, net play and returns. Right now I am using a Carbonex 8000 LT, but I have become frustrated with it's lack of clear and smash power. So far I've gotten recomendations for the AT800D, MP88 & 99, and NS9000X. What raquets would you recommend for me? I'm willing to go up to $250. What do you think of the other recommendations I've recieved? Thank you, Andrew
If your technique is right you should be able to clear with any racket and so spending so much on a racket might not be the solution to your problem. You might be better off paying for coaching rather than a new racket.
I agree with Zangetsu, you should get the Nano 9000S not the Nano 9000X, 9000X is for smashing players, 9000S will suit your need more, and also its closer to the feel of you old racket carb8000LT meaning you can adapt over to the new racket quicker. If you want more info about Yonex racket here a info link has good graphs http://www.titanbadmintonclub.websyte.com.au/site.cfm?/titanbadmintonclub/4/
1. A cheaper way to upgrade is to re-string. Might worth to take a shot 1st. 2. Try to rent / borrow rackets from local shops or fellow club members, and demo the ones you have in your mind. Then, select the one you feel most comfortable with.
My recommendation Hi Andrew, I suggest you to try Pro Kennex 800 D. As far as I know. They use the highest grade of carbon fiber(40 t). It is extremely responsive and nervous feed back racket. To me, it is the best. I, myself was using Yonex Carbonex 8000 before. Paonjeff
i'd say NS 9000S also, i been playing badminton for like 2 years with alloy racquets because my prince's' broke and the NS9000 has very quick swings generating more power for clearing instead of needing the muscle power to do it.
Personally, I tried both old and newer verison of ProKennex Dynamic 800. Both are great value for the $$$, and the newer version is lighter and slightly stiffer. Great rackets for double plays, but some individuals might claim lack of power in single games, I suspect.
Pro Kennex 800 Yes, I agree. But I like it especially, because of its excellent manouverbility and very easy to use the wrist due to the special shaft. If you are seeking for slightly more power, you might want try the Pro kennex Isometric 800 A. It is slightly heavier and more powerful for a single play. I think Kenneth Jonasson is using the pro Kennex 800 A. I used Yonex rackets in whole my life but now I realized I spent far too much money for what it is!
KJ Using pro Kennex 800 A I saw KJ on TV playing Indonesian Open. It was definitely a Pro Kennex 800 . I recognized it, because it is exactely same as mine. I was very happy!
Where to buy Pro Kennex ISO 800 A Hi, I bought my Pro Kennex 800 D in Sports Champ in new Jersey. The boss told me about the 800 A. He showed me the racket. But I am so happy with my 800 D at the moment!
