hehe, this thread is also warming up...hopefully by the time the matches for both Thomas Cup Semifinals begin, we all still have ample enthusiasms...hehe Side note:BTW, i think for CHN and INA fans living in North America, the match time for the 1st Semifinal match(CHN vs. INA) looks perfectly suited... But don't know abt DEN/MAS fans in North American continent though(as they're match will start at the early morning hours).. ..
Who say MAS cant give any competition against CHINA? I think all team in thomas cup sure will give the best challenge to win the cup. I will support MAS team. I wishes to see MAS win the cup back! Malaysia Boleh!
i suggest CTF/LWW must be fielded as 1s md malaysia will lead 2:0 first (lcw and ctf/lww) and that will make easy for other teammates
i dont think choong/lee will be fielded in 1st doubles. this will only weakened the 2nd doubles. it 's risky if they lose to the world no.1 pair.
3rd mas pair, tan ??? who i don't know their names, they are not too bad if malaysia have already leaded 2:0, it will pressure denmark players
you seem to have so much faith for the MAS 1st doubles. they are playing against Eriksen/Hansen. CTF/LWW do not have a very good track record against them.
koo/tan??? or chan/chew? i think it's better to stick with choong/lee in 2nd doubles and let chan/koo to square off with eriksen/hansen. chan/koo is not bad, it's just they didnt perform well during the match with korea.
I think it's going to be really difficult for the Malaysian team to get past Denmark. Losing Wong Choon Hann is more than just losing a good player to help bring back the cup - but also losing one of the backbones of the team as he's the team captain. I gather his presence means a lot to some of the players, and it'll be really hard if he has to go back to Malaysia to treat his ankle. For that reason, I hope Malaysia decides to let him stay in Japan for time being. Hoping that he can give the team support from the bench. Koo Kien Keat needs to buck up. I feel that he is a great player (have watched him in action during CG2006) but he allows emotions and the need to show-off get the better of him. I'm attributing this to his young age, but then, this is Thomas Cup and there's no room for frills and fancies. Just play your best and get the job done. Undoubtedly, there'll be HUGE pressure on Lee Chong Wei's shoulders now. I hope he'll react to the stress positively and not crumble. Rise to the occasion, Chong Wei! Hafiz...he really does seem to perform superbly in team events, so I hope he'll continue to do well. Chong Tan Fook/Lee Wan Wah, hoping for experience to carry them through. As for Kuan Beng Hong, it's a very sudden move for him - potentially playing in the semi-finals in his debut, but I also hope he'll be fired to help Malaysia deliver. I don't really know how to judge the chances of this match. I'll give it a 50-50. But if Malaysia manages to pull itself together and the team to keep their spirits up - the chances of them getting into the final are pretty good. The Malaysian team is quite dangerous when they're playing like a team. Let's hope for the pressure to bring them determination. ...Because I really want to see Malaysia bring the cup home. (However difficult it may be - getting past Denmark is one thing, but how will they fare against Indonesia or China without Wong Choon Hann?)
The best strategy for MAS MD has already been highlighted by HCyong. I don't see any other strategy working myself. The game plan is to get at least 1 point from the doubles. If the inconsistent CCM/KKK catches form that day they may steal a point. Theirs is their throw away game. MAS is instead relying of CTF/LWW to get a point from doubles. Why is everyone writing off CTF/LWW for second doubles? Their are experienced and have seen it all. Look how they took apart the Korean pair. In fact MAS is lucky that they are the 2nd pair. I stand by my earlier projection of how MAS can beat DEN. Funnily enough, the loss of WCH probably messed up DEN's plans as they now have to adjust to dealing with Hafiz at 2nd Singles.
Where are you Danish fans??.. hmm, any Danish fans & supporters following TC in BC??.. haven't heard from any true Denmark fan(s) yet...So far, it's been all one sided & dominated, if not most, by Malaysian fans in this thread...hehe or will the Danish supporters show up tomorrow for the big show??..hehe
3-2 for Denmark. After 1 st Single and 1 st Doubles, it will be 1-1 2nd Single, 2 - 1 for Denmark. 2nd Doubles, 3 -1 for Denmark. or 3-1 for Denmark 1st Single Denmark 1st Doubles Denmark 2nd Single Malaysia 2nd Doubles Denmark
3:0 for malaysia LCW vs PG , lcw will win CTF/LWW vs ericksen/hansen, 2:0 for malaysia muhd hafidz vs kennet, hafidz will make malaysia qualify to the final 3:0
That's pretty optimistic but you won't see CTF/LWW playing 1st doubles. Thanks for the support anyway
I don't think LWW/CTF will be the 1st MD to face Eriksen/Hansen. Coz LWW/CTF just lost to the Danish at All England with no fight. LWW/CTF as the 2nd MD will probably have better chance to win. Anyway, for me: MS1 = LCW (55:45) He is on fire and top form now. MD1 = KKK/CCM (30:70) Errrr..... no comment, but at least a little chance MS2 = Hafiz (50:50) Hafiz really good in team event. Hope he can surprise us. MD2 = LWW/CTF (50:50) I believe on them MS3 = KMH (55:45) I think KMH can win the Den MS3. So... overall, MAS still have chances to win. But IF in the final...
No dout, we Malaysian always support our tem. Malaysia Boleh.. But, i certainly do not put high hope due to WCH injured and no doult LCW will beat Peter.. 3rd single will play a major role 2 morrow and certainly i do not think that Bengh Hong can take up this challange.
Come on ah! Please give support and hope to Beng Hong. He can give challage to the DEN MS3, because they are not very strong at MS3. I don't MAS to win TC after WCH injured, but I hope MAS can go to the Final.
