Hey guys! I thinks you guys out of the topic. This topic is all about the system that will play. ok!!!
The SSSDD systen that the Thomas & Uber site said refer back to the eighties and earlier 90's. After that IBF always use the SDSDS system unless a team player play both singles and doubles, they can change the system into SSSDD or S1 D2 S2 D1 S3. Look at the peliminary at feb 06. IBF still use the SDSDS so it will be unlikely they will changed it into SSSDD now in the final.
TUC - order of play The competition rules state that the order is S1 S2 S3 D1 and D2. In the group ties all five matches are played. In the knockouts, the ties are not played when one team gains an unassailable 3-n lead. The top seed from Country1 shall play against top seed from Country2, and so on. You may also check out the official rules: Comp. Rules . . . The following applies to both the men's and the women's matches. Each national team consists of 4 to 10 players. Three teams form one group and play in a round robin competition. One match consists of three singles and two doubles matches. The order of the matches is: Singles 1, Singles 2, Singles 3, Doubles 1, and Doubles 2. The order of the players is decided in accordance with the IBF's official rankings. The standings in each group dictate the seeding and matchups of the final round. Comp. RegsAll matches shall observe the regulations defined by the IBF, as well as regulations defined for the event.
No... 2wheels04, that website not updated. The updated information is SDSDS .... and it's confirmed by Mr.Gunalan.
SSSDD or SDSDS ??? Just notice that in the livescore they are playing SSSDD in the TUC first round... Why?? Can anyone explain....
You mean the Korea vs NZ match? Notice that NZ single players are playing for doubles as well?? The players need time to rest, that's why all the single matches are played first.
Not only Korea vs NZ match....but all matches... You can find out more from the link below. Denmark had won 3-0 from their 3 mens single. Now their first double are playing... http://tuc.u-netsurf.ne.jp/thomas/en/live/live-score.html
For Thomas Cup, the default format is SDSDS. For Uber Cup, the default format is SSSDD. In cases where a player is down to play both singles and doubles, then the order is changed to accomodate the player. If you notice that NZ singles players also play doubles, you should notice the same for South African players.
