it could be the mishitting thing, i don't know, or maybe it's jut the string. When i first tried bg66, i had it at 24lbs and it lasted me about 2 hours lol... i mishit a lot on a warmup the 2nd day and it broke maybe you could give BG85 or BG80 a try... switching from the thinnest string to thickest string at high tension is a huge jump.
Try checking the grommets as well on the string to see if they are causing the string to break early.
yeah, mishitting is most likely, Yonex and Sunrise has decent quality control. Yes, you're right as I switched to BG 65 at 23 pounds as I had great memories using it in the past ...but I forgot how thick it was and didn't feel good compared to BG66. Now, I just hope it'll break so I can try the BG 85/80 you recommended.... unfortunately, after 2 hours of hard play on each racket, not a single sign of wear and tear can be found, or I'll just cut it. Another thing is, my two NS9KX with BG 65 at 23 pounds tension did not retain tension well after only 2 hours of play each. The tension went below my Armortec 800 Off with BG66 at 21 pounds (which i keep in my bag for lending purposes, also with approx 2 hours play by myself). Thought of changing stringer, but he strung the Armortec as well.. so donno..
Don't forget that BG65 doesn't retain tension well, it loses a few pounds in a few days/weeks while BG 66 retains it very well. Don't blame the stringer, its just the properties of the strings you are using.
i strung my nano with 25 main 23 cross. i know its suppsoed to be the otehr way around. is my head in danger? how will play be different than 23 x 25
Well I ordered a 3UG5 Type S JP racket. Hope it arrives next week! About the tention, I probably would make them even tention.
Just got my NS9000 Type S (3U G5) from a shop in Seoul, Korea for 170 USD (official retail price 210 USD). Got it strung in Bangkok with BG66 @ 24lbs. The stringer did not want to follow Yonex stringing instructions for NS9000 and used a single stringing pattern (2 knots). I will try it tonight. For the official retail price in Bangkok, it will be 6,990 THB (170 USD) which means that you may get it down to 120 USD (30 % discount) at some shops. However the availability is still unknown yet. Cheers.
Got my ns9K in Singapore from 10 & 10 Sports Trading. It cost me SG$290 inclusive of any string, grip and a bag. They also did a great job stringing my racquet.
I just picked up my NS9K from the post office today. The racket looks great. One thing I find a bit werid is that I did not recieve the matching NanoSpeed case which is suppose to come with it. It came pouch type case, which I have not seen before, but it seems good too since this material is soft.
Thanks for the info cooler. I also happend to look at the Yonex Japan catalog as well and they happen to have them available for purchase as well, but not the exact same one which came with the racket.
I was viewing the cloth bag at shuttlehouse's site (which is where I got my 9K from) - I assume that is Yonex Japan's catalog.
