    hey guys..

i'm currently using mp33 and it's almost 2 years old...i play doubles and i'm more of a defensive person...which racquet is better at returning smashes, net plays and quick snaps? i'm thinking about mp99, Ti 10, and nanospeed 8000/9000..thanks
also, i'm not that familiar with the terms since i didn't care much bout the Gs Us until now =p can someone explain the Gs Us sp, cd etc. terms?

mp99 is the best way to go. It is an even balance racket and is pretty good at everything. It has power, but is also quick enough to play defense with. Be sure to test out the rackets before buying tho. There are plenty of other reviews about this racket, so just look through the equipment reviews or do a search!

Please refer to this for the us, sp, cd stuff. http://www.badmintoncentral.com/badminton-central/content/view/78/33/
(where did you hear about GS?, ive never heard of that before)

    Hopefully this helps somewhat.

Gs (G4, G5. etc.) indicate the grip size (larger number = smaller grip).
Us (2U, 3U, etc.) indicate the weight of the racquets (larger number = lighter racquet).

Choose the pair that matches you, and don't modify the racquet (i.e. changing G3-G5), as you have to consider adding weight to rebalance to the "specced" racquet.

    How about AT800DEF?

Yea AT800DF is a good racket you play doubles and like to defend. The Ti-10 is a Offense type racket that will give you powerful smashes but it is heavy and net shots will be slower. Also, you need a strong arm and wrist to utilize the power of that racket.

    I suggest AT800DF or MP99

in this case i'd choose mp99 then since AT800DF is way more expensive @ FMP

ahhhhhhhhhhh can't wait till summer though...OFFSA's in May...=p
but it'd be great to still own one and try it out..maybe i'll get someone to bring it over..but i heard i shouldn't string it in hk since the pressure change on the way may affect the racquet?

Ive heard people there similar in ways and i think they are, somewhat.

i own a CAB30MS, it gives a really solid feel when you hit the bird and lots of smashing power too, which is similar to the MP99
