SOTX shaft stiffness is measured by how many degrees the shaft would bend if a 20kg weight is placed at the t-joint section of the racket. So the range is from 8 degree to 8.5 degree for extra stiff shafts. 8.5 degree to 9.0 is stiff. 9.0 and higher is medium stiff to flexible.

That's interesting to know, thanks. I thought the higher the number, the stiffer, I didn't know it was the other way around. :p

However, ~44lbs. seems like too much weight, are you sure the weight is correct?

Also, where do they clamp the handle for this test?

Well you can probably pull it off...but feel how much strenght is required to pull your racket 8 degrees back grabbing at teh T-joint....pretty strong shaft..

However, back to woven 10 vs woven 11: who here uses woven 10? who here chooses woven 10 over woven 11? I figured the woven 10 is less powerfull, but is it marginal, or a lot?

I hit with a Woven 10 this past Saturday. It was noticeably lighter than my 11 and a bit less endloaded; but it felt great. It reminded me more of a Woven 7...:D

so how do the woven 10/11 perform using the woven 7 as a benchmark?

I haven't hit the 7 in a while so it's hard to do an accurate comparison. But roughly, the 11 is the most powerful and most stable. But it's also the hardest to get used to because of the extra length and weight. But for me, once I got used to the 11, I'd be hard pressed to find a better overall racket.

I think we're splitting hairs here. If you have the 7 and like it, then stay with the 7. If you always like to try new rackets, maybe in the future, venture out and try an 11 but you have to give it time.

The rackets aren't magical, it's the user that is (or can be). :D

I know, I've got racketitis....But in the near future the oppertunity might present itself to get a hold of enough sotx-rackets. and my current 7 is great. but the gripsize is way off my personal preference.

So íf that chance is there I'll ask around more.
