My racket's string broke today..ns8k...brought it into the store to restring..the guy isnt there, but I left it there for him to restring Tuesday anyway....picking it up Tuesday nite...as this is the only racket that I play with..I really miss it...anyone has that kind of a feeling like me? :crying: I have another racket, played with it...but man, it feels so different, it's a carb15... bchaiyow
i m sorry to hear that. but i gotta say you are still lucky. coz u can find a brand new one very easily unlike those discontinued models. which are really hard to find!
Oh man, all he did was broke the string on his racquet not the racquet itself You need to get a second one as string breakage tends to happen more often than not.
Well.... we know... but... his racket is still 'hospitalized' waiting for a 'repair'... until it is being 'discharged', he would be able to concentrate on other events. Sooooooooooooo sad! Thanks.
i feel that way about my mp100. its the only 1 i got i feel bad when i chip its paint. 1 step closer to breaking it. so hard for me to find mp100s these days.
It may be a good chance to have a training with old classics. I am current using the oldest version Cab 15 U racket in training.
I just purchased one AUD$198; Have to wait for postage Yonex Nanospeed 8000 Flex: Extra Stiff Frame: H.M Graphite, Nano Carbon, Solid Feel Core Weight: 2U Grip Size: G3 AS Code: 240952AS Serial: 5748823 Got it from Ebay http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Yonex-Nanosp...ryZ20871QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem Can't wait for it! Are these really fragile? My friend bought one and he broke his in 3 weeks. I'm going to string it at 23 and move up down the track. I noticed there was a Yonex Nanospeed 9000 for sale too; AUD$260. http://cgi.ebay.com.au/NEW-YONEX-NA...oryZ2917QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem ~AUD$60 difference. But I didn't go ahead with it; maybe down the track if theres any difference
Thanks for all your consolations...hehe, yup when I pick her up ( my racket ), well, I should say, before I pick her up..she might get jeolous otherwise, I will be picking up some demos as well for sure..probably a less expensive one, so that I can use it as backup. Yeah, using the carb15 sure feels weird, but surprisingly, I still played quite well. 450450: if you have the latest batches...you should be ok, I have clashed many times, but only 2 paint chips so far. bchaiyow
It's not fragile per se. 2U racquets in particular should be stronger. I've had many clashes, and I only retired mine because of a really bad hit. I contacted my partner's racquet at 10:30 and 2:00 when I was smashing. The damage was a full crack through at 10:30 and a damaged spot (not paint chip) at 2:00.
10:30 is between 10 and 11 It's not at 10 nor 11 If it's at 10 and 2.. the location of the two cracks should be horizontal, but it's not It's cracked through, and it's actually split in two (I can pull it up, and see the inside of NS8000 ) Still missed the racquet.... *sigh*... Australia and lack of 3UG5...... grrr..
in future you can buy a machine so you can refixed it immediatly ,so you never missed it????ah!ah!MING
Got my racket back....kiss..kiss..kisss...well, tried out the new strings, BG 65 Ti..not as good interms of control as BG 66, but am getting used to it..yeah should get a backup ns8k...I tried the MP99 which I think is so totally opposite to ns8k... Have no clue how to restring myself...just not very handy Oh funny thing is, I dreamnt about breaking my string again in 2 days...so I brought the racket back to my stringer...but to my shock, when I pass the racket back to him, it was so warped..it looked like the racket was hit head on by a car...i was so sad....when I woke up, I was sooo glad it was only a dream...whew!!! bchaiypw
i think alot of it has to do with the ns8k is head light. i use 3 of these and whenever i try someone elses racket that isnt headlight i feel like i cant ake anyshots and that i need my rackets.
It's probably because you're used to the headlight-ness of the NS8k and it's hard for you to adjust to other racquets that aren't headlight, as most racquets are either head-heavy or even balance. Another reason is that it takes time to adjust to the differences of racquets, when switching from one to another. There might be a large diversity between the NS8k and the racquets you try, so it'll be awkward unless you play for a while and adapt, which I'm not sure you want to do if you and your body/mind are so fond of your racquets.
