Could we get some reviews for more Yonex grips? including mesh, wave, and towel? They're like the main distributor near me and there's not much selection other than them. Greatly appreciated.
i can tell you about wave grip and towel grip wave is just an extension to the supergrap, durability is really lacking when compared to wilson pro i had tried 3OG, babolat pro team, wilson pro and supergrap for performance i would rate proteam > pro >>>>>>>>> supergrap(for the first hour) for durability, pro >> proteam >>>>>> supergrap i tried supergrap again recently as there are quite a few recommandations over the tennis forum, but supergrap is just as what dink mentioned towel grip... is just towel grip i guess, its better than the roll i bought from victor though, but i don't know enough to comment on, nor i think there is any... b/c of my sweaty hand, dry feeling grip w/ good absorbtion is better than a tacky but not absobing grip ps. mileage might varies
In my 5-year quest for the best over grip, I have tried the standard towel grip, Yonex towel grips (way better), RSL over grips, Wilson rubber grips, Prince rubber grips, Yonex Ti rubber grips, Carlton ribbed grips, Victor ribbed grips, and other lesser known brands. Karakal PU Super Grip beats all of them hands down and is on every racket I own. And it's relatively cheaper too at approximately USD 2 only.
i can't seems to able to find any karakal pu super grip that ship to canada cheaply.... is that an over grip of repl. grip? for now, i think wilson pro is really nice on its durability, and i spend less time taking sweat off the handle too(still more than pro team, but i might have to really replace them everyweek... rather than 2weeks for wilson pro)
I use it as an overgrip though judging from its thickness, some people might opt to use it as a replacement grip. I have used Wilson Pro in the past and I find that Karakal still has the best sweat absorbing properties, for a rubber grip that is.
hey dinkalot , did u try out the prince no sweat grip??? my hands are pretty sweaty and im currently using Head Xtremesoft...u have any recommendation for me?? thx
Nope, haven't tried the Prince one yet. Head Xtremesoft is a decent grip but not great when it gets wet. It doesn't dry fast either. I'd recommend the Wilson X-tra Tack for sweaty hands, it does a very good job. Also the Volkl Super Grip II is good for sweat.
If you're still after the Point 75, you can get a 3-pack for £4.99 from http://www.directsports-eshop.com I've just bought a pack of Nano 60 grips. Will let you know how I get on with them. I've never used overgrips before, but my yellow Karakal Kumfy is going a disgusting colour
I've been using Gamma Supreme for a few months after seeing it recommended here. It's only S$8.50-9.00 for a pack of 3 (at Queensway). It is indeed an excellent grip. Unfortunately, not many colours available, so i stick with black.
finaly got my hands on some wilson xtra tack, my god its awesome, its been 2 weeks and its tackyness is still there.

well, an interesting grip I've bought is a pro's pro grip. it was a 28-box for 10 euro's ($12,50) at www.powertennis.nl site is dutch, but you should be able to comprehend "grip" "overgrip". threw "producten" the one I bought was the Dura tape... It's really soemhtign neat to try...at 0,33 cents a grip it's weird stuff. it feels a bit leather-like, but tacky. it absorbs a lot and doesn't get slippery, but just NO tack after a night's play., also: You just can't wrap it up the cone without foulding (sp?) lines in it. it's to rigid material.. bizar grip, can't decide wether to recommend or not BTW: don't want to go ot, so here. please help...tennisnuts is really asking top dollar... http://www.badmintoncentral.com/forums/showthread.php?p=400685#post400685
Dan, How did you wrap your grips? 1/2 overlap? no overlap? how long are your top-5 grips (wilsons especially) how far could your wrap them?
