Hi all, I've played badminton for more than a year, and I'd like to change my carlton airblade ti-lite for a yonex. I'm told that it isn't worth buying a "pro" racket now but still, I play 20 hours / week and I'm looking for some new feelings. I hesitate between AT700 and MP99, I'm kinda an allround player, but I lack some power. I play single and double but I prefer a racket for single even at my lvl I can't see any difference. If anyone could advise me It would be great, I go to buy today. Money doesn't matter when passion rules the game. Badminton is really the best sport ^^. Thank you for any help.
Mp99 is the way to go for an all around racket, but maybe you should consider trying the two out before buying. One racket may suit you more than the other. Getting a new racket isn't going to improve your proformence that much, but since money isn't an issue go for it =).
Yep agree with K3vin. The Mp99 is great for doubles or singles. Exellent power for smash and good even balance for quick defence. At this point in your quest in badminton it is best not to go for a racket that is specialised in offence or defence. Something that has both. Like myself, money is no object when it comes to badminton gear..........cheap racket or expensive i do not care aslong as I play well with it. If I found a $50 racket that I like better than my NS8000 I will buy it.........seriously!
