Yonex diagram, including Nanospeed 9000S/X Here is a diagramm from Yonex. What do they mean by "SOFT FEEL" and "SOLID FEEL"? Can somebody please explain what the difference means in game?
I find solid feel and soft feel better terms than "singles"and "doubles" wich i found useless... feel probably means just as it says. hitting a soft racket will fele gentle, smooth. while a hard-racket might be more hard, and solid. Inetrested in other peoples opinions...
Does no one know what 'soft feel' and 'solid feel' mean in terms of play? Is it the stiffness, but stiffness is already included in Hardhitter-Control, or not?
It's unbelievable they still use that hard hitting vs control. I thought they'd be already over that stage. Well apparently according to that diagram of Yonex I can't execute precise shots with hard hitter rackets.
Yonex thailand Hi everyone... I have noticed this. I was searching the web thailland's yonex page, when I found this: It shows the different kinds of yonex rackets. As you can se the yellow labels are muscle power, the blue labels are armortec, the orange labels are nanospeed,.. ect. Than i noticed that there were 5 nanospeed labels. I don't know if this i a fault or if there is coming a fifth nanospeed??? .. as you know there already are the 6000, 7000, 8000 and 9000. Just a funny thing i thougth you should see
As you can see, AT-800 has two options with two different circles on the graph. I wouldn't surprise if the upper one is the 9000-X and the other one is the S.
At any rate, I wouldn't put too much stock in a picture - I really love the MP99 and NS7000 even more (yet i'm a power player), but don't really like the NS8000. Personal testing will definitely beat any graph you can find IMO!

Have you guys noticed that Yonex keep changing the rating of its recent "top-of-the-line" racquets such as the AT800OF and the NS8000. Before both of those were tied at top place for hard-hitting as the MP-100 but that has changed with Yonex's recent revision of the chart.
Wait a minute. If this is on the Yonex Thailand website, does this mean that the NS9K will be available in Bangkok sooner than expected?
yep, i noticed this too. i remembered when the at800of and ns8000 first came out they were at the top of the chart and now they're in the middle? isn't this false advertising?
seeing that yonex's chart always changes, the chart itself is prone to being "correct" anyways, and cooler's testing shows some of that as well
well, i agree they're stretching the truth a bit when they come out with these charts. to be honest, i think all the racquets are much more similar than what the chart would suggest, but it they made the chart to reflect that, then it'll give the racquets the diversity yonex would like. so i think they're trying to spread it out to cover as much of the graph as possible, to make their racquets appeling. and the latest racquets are almost assured to be either the most powerful, or have the best feel, otherwise they won't sell!
Whatever rating, review, spec, chart, etc are all relative, and could only be used as reference. To what I saw, many local players used so call "defensive" type of rackets to generate thunderous smash, while a lot of others used so call "offensive" type rackets play amazing defense. Therefore, it's still YOU to select the racket fit for yourself.
I visited the Yonex showroom in Central World Plaza, Bangkok during Chinese New Year. I was informed by the staff that due to some parallell importers and pressure from Yonex Japan, Yonex Thailand will allow each foreign customer to purchase only 3 pieces of Yonex rackets per month, regardless of model.
