Help me check if my Yonex MP-100 is real

    I bought this recently~~would someone please kindly help me check whether it is real....kind of afriad its fake....it says "Made in Japan"

    if it's from ebay and it is cheap then it is very likely to be fake. Fake rackets on ebay are normally sold with a starting price of $1. Also the seller wouldn't bother protecting the racket properly during shipping. Real Yonex rackets have laser engraved serial. That means the letters and numbers appear dead regular and straight, and very visible.

    On the fake rackets I have come across, the YY logo at the T joint alwasy looks wrong with the top of each Y looking too narrow.

    Fake. The serial code indicates the MP-100 was manufactured on July 20, 2005, while the MP-100 has been discontinued for many years already.

    Not really. The MP-100 is still in production.

    It's been discontinued only in certain regions. :rolleyes:

    I dont really know what you meant by that question. :confused: Do you meant by why wont counterfeiters take ppls serial number and put it on a fake racket?

    Yes, perhaps they are already doing that. So checking the serial numbers alone would be no help.

    Wouldnt that be copying the Exact racket which is very illegal?

    i think its fake

    the date code is too early for the number code

    fake racket manufacturers can get those code done in a better way by having a closer number code and date code together

    to make sure, you can always post up your pictures and we can check with you
