Hey, Baderz_Jas! If u don't mind, tell us a lil' bit more about the other players. Who is the nicest of them all... Who u talked to the most..Did Fu Haifeng translate all the time for u? How was he? And how is Ng Wei?? I'm curious... Hehehe. Just tell us anything that u know, even very small details would be really nice...
hi baderz, have you used his at700 yet or are you just keeping it as a collectible? if you have used it, i guess the strings are extremely tight . is there anything different to his racket than standard at700's?
Hi magical phoenix Everyone in the China team is very friendly and polite, even the coaches. I talked to Fu Haifeng the most coz he speaks Cantonese. So do Yang Wei and Zhang Jiewen but I didn't see them much. Fu Haifeng translated all the time for me. I didn't talk to Ng Wei, only took picture with him at the hotel and then he left. When we were behind the players' stand, I played badminton with LYB's son(forgot his name as well ),I used Zhang Jiewen's racket(AT800De). Gao Ling and Chen Hong sat together and chatted for quite a while. That is as much I could remember. Baderz_Jas
Hi lindanfan I will never use it! It is very tight, I guess it is 34-36lbs. There's not much different to my AT700s. But on his racket, there's only two knots. Mine have four. Don't know why? Baderz_Jas
he just uses a one piece stringing pattern, yours will be a two piece if it has 4 knots. the recommended yonex pattern is 2 piece (4 knots)
lindanfan, I only had a few rallies with him so I don't really know. But my coach told me that his son is playing for Beijing Province and he has a very powerful smash so I guess he is quite good. Should be better than me. Baderz_Jas
Are you sure? I'm very surprised to learn that Lin Dan uses Yonex BG65 TI. Other than being very durable, I didn't think this string was as good as, say, BG80/85 for power or control, and certainly the TI coating doesn't help with control since it's quite slippy. Maybe that's why his netshots are not as good as the rest of his game
Thanks Baderz_Jas for the info.. Poor LYB's son, u forget his name Wah, Fu Haifeng is very nice... So I guess he's not as quiet as many ppl say? And very nice of him to email u as well.. U're very lucky. Yeah, I think Chinese coaches are as nice as the players. I still remember when Li Yong Bo helped me to take a pic with Zhang Ning. He went down all the way from the players' seats because he saw no one helped me take a pic with Zhang Ning.. I guess it's because ZN is his fave, but, still, I'm touched. Hehehe. Anyway, if you have any more pics, post here ok? Like the one with Fu Haifeng
Just like what Baderz_Jas said, "jia you"'s direct translation is "add oil." My guess is that it came from "step on the gas." Anyone has any idea how the phrase "jia you" came to be? I am curious about its origin.
We have a burning flame of desire to win, and by adding oil, it burns ever more violently than before. (I'm just being stupid, dont take taht seriously)
How about XXF? baderz_jas, Your story is very interesting. How about XXF - is she nice and polite? Did you chat with her? Thanks, Mt. Apo
Jermaine, I don't think the racket would brake if he hits it at the right spot. I was suprised too when I found out it was 34-36 lbs. Baderz_Jas
baderz, how did u know the racquet is between 34-36lbs? i know why they strung it so hard, cause they racquets are all sponsered! haha. and the string breaks super esaily so i think if u use it for 1 week there it goes... that is the maximum lbs it could go man... i wonder whats the feeling like plying with it.. never tried before.
Jermaine, I know that by felling it. Mine are 28 lbs so it's a lot harder than mine. I don't know how it fells too when you play with a racket that tight coz I htink I might snap it very easily. Baderz_Jas
