it is great to see malaysia return to the top of men's doubles - let's hope all these pairs can maintain their form. they have youth on their side.. the danes will not be so easily defeated tho, in my opinion to still be near the top of the world ranking at the age of 35 shows an amazing level or mental strength, fitness, some fortitude, intelligence, flexibility, both physically, mentally and strategically. They danes don't go down easy, and while they've been beaten by some of the top pairs over the last 12 months, they've consistently reached semi's and finals and won some as well.. the last four is their domain. it would be great to see the danes take a title for europe.

PG also will be riding high with his defeat of the young chinese apprentice, and also pleased to see that he has a relatively easy semi as opposed to lin dan or LCW who have to try to beat each other to get a chance at the final.. and that could be the telling factor now. both LCW and LD will be tired for the final.

In the XD Nathan and Gail overcome what i believe is their hardest hurdle - they have had few matches over the chinese pair and it showed. Nathan looked positively weary in some of the longer rally's and bored in the middle game. he needs pressure to fire him up - unfortunately pressure is exactly what gail doesn't need. however they made it and now face the indo pair in the semi - I know they can do it and hopefull past matches against the indo pair will serve them well and make it an easier match, certainly Lillyana isn't the same sort of force that Zhang Yawen is, altho she is tailored to XD , we will see.. tomorrow is another day..

i hope that Europe can triumph and take 3 of the 5 disciplines for a change.

some day a WS or WD pair that can challenge the chinese might appear. but it doesn't appear to be forthcoming. even Gail and Donna are no match..

The Eriksen and Lunggaard pairing look like a hard nut to crack. They haven't been taken to 3 sets so far.

How would you guys rate LCW's chances against Lin Dan? 50-50? (From the scorelines though it looks like Lin is in pretty hot form)

    40/60

I think the chances should be 40:60, Lee Chong Wei underdog.

Agree. mentally, Chongwei is not as quick as Lin Dan. Lin Dan is very
clever and will explore every weakness of his opponents.

Love u Yap for bringing the best ,like limao and rexy.Incdredible performance by lcw,lww/ctf,lin/tazari and gan/zakry.Congrats to LiMao and Rexy. Both of you have shown the world your true professionalism. The most important aspect is that the Malaysians players are becoming fierce fighters and their mental srength is simply AVESOME.The EVERGREEN pair has done it again.I hope they will take the title this year. They gave one to the Danes in 2003 when they were leading comfortably. No more nonsense from now onwards.Remember 1992 we were the champion of the world. Its payback time in Tokyo,2006.:) :) :)

Maybe it looks likely to be a Lin Dan-Peter Gade final, but it would be more fun to see LCW play PG for the title!;)

im quite sure that astro will be showing it on CH80 (supersport) though, since singapore is showing it on the same channel, there is no way that they have different telecasts for the same channel in two countries.. this is just probably malaysian inefficiencies on updating websites...
