that is interesting. Which part of the game do you think they have improved and what do you think is the reason?
They are better in cooperation, better in footwork, good defence, more powerful smashes and better attacking game and tactics. When they were young, they have the skills but didn't cooperate that well and played badly when they were panic.
Have not watch them play lately but I think at least now they dont crack easily when they are under pressure.
Geez, that is really amazing, improvement on everything. Does this has anything to do with Rexy's coaching? Or it is just that they grew wiser over the years?
yap ,you are right. more composed now with the exception of all england 2004 final. they played amazingly well during thomas cup 2004.When they were young, they couldn't perform during the thomas cup due to pressure.
they have more experience now. of course the coach has something to do with it too but don't forget, they have improved a lot even before Rexy becomes the coach. Remember 2004? Rexy was not malaysian coach yet at that time.
What the ****'s happened to the live scoring? How long has it been stuck here? One massive upset today already in MD with Chandra/Sigit biting the dust. I predicted earlier that the MS #1 will also be knocked out. We'll see as the day progresses. Wouldn't that make the tournament more exciting?
Well, I guess Rexy's coaching may has some influence. Wiser? Haha.....may be they are more "mature" towards their game.
This was on the 247 live scoring page: LIVE SCOREBOARD WITHIN THE ARENA IS CUIRRENTLY DOWN SO INTERNET LIVE SCORES ARE NOT UPDATING Now we know why the scores aren't moving. Anyone out there can update from other sources? Please.
Furthermore, Tan Fook had problems with Wan Wah when Wan Wah got injured in 2000/2001 or 2002(I cant remember the exact year anymore). So they didn't communicate on the court. But now, according to Kim Hock, both have a good relationship after he and psychologist advised them. I think a good relationship between the double partners is an important factor too.
I was hoping MewChoo to do a "small" upset (I thought she was capable of doing that but Im wrong) but that was never the case. Malaysian ladies still have a long way to go.......sigh....
losing 5-11, 9-11 to the 5th ranked Xu is not a bad score. i believe she can do better but against ZN and XXF is a long...... long wayyyy..... interestingly Wang Chen and Yao Jie were stated from China according to the latest IBF ranking http://internationalbadminton.org/womensingle.asp
Felicia, are you from around selangor? I am fascinated that you know alot about the sport.... have you played at sba? taman mega???
Hmmm... the WS seedings are going according to plan with the exception of Hallam (#8). Pi HY took care of Lu Lan in easier fashion than I thought and Mia took out Jiang YJ in 3 sets. End of the road for the young Chinese girls.
I think order is restored in the women singles and mixed doubles. The best 8 pairs in the world are in the mxd qf. The best 8 women single players also in the qf (apart from Zhu Lin and Yao Jie who are not playing ). Same cannot be said for the men singles and doubles later, which makes it more interesting
