According to the live score, he won 15:12, 15:5. Lee must be too excited or something? But anyway, watched Shoji Sato in the WC, good player, very fast. So may not be that surprising.
Back to Chen Jin vs Hafiz, Chen Jin might have won in a usual way, while Hafiz might have lost in an unusual way? So you might draw the conclusion that Hafiz is more talented than Chen Jin.
Well. You are using "talent" in a wider sense. I am just using it to denote the fine touch when playing, in a pure physical sense.
What is usually usual with Hafiz's unusual talent is that he doesn't use it usually enough resulting in an unusual number of defeats against players of usual quality. Say that quickly 10 times
I am just saying that my impression from watching their games is that, Hafiz seems to control the birdy better, but he is unwilling to run or change the pace of the game. In contrast, Chen Jin runs so fast and therefore can return many shots quite surprisingly. That is why Hafiz lost. Same seems to be true for his Denmark open loss to Lee Choongwei.
Just noticed how easily Hirose demolished Judith (11-1, 11-2) whom I thought was doing quite well lately. Which of the kawai Japanese girls stand to make it the furthest?
wow, you are a living proof of the telented. But telent must be an unusual gift from God, right? God cannot send telent to everyone as a Xmas gift.
The Japanese girls have improved so much over the last 18 months. I think they will be favourites to finish 2nd in the uber cup (ahead of south korea and holland). Hirose need to learn how to beat the 'big' players (ZN,XXF etc) and I'm sure she will soon.
Stupid thing! Stupid www.247.tv! I tried watching one of the matches live and even paid £3.00 for it and when the time comes for me to watch it, RealPlayer just gave an error message saying that 'the requested file cannot be found'. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARGH! :crying::crying::crying::crying::crying::crying::crying:
A little correction: Zhang/Gao won from Korean pair Yoo/Ha 15-1 15-10. So there is no suprise at all in XD for the first day.
