Oh Yannie, thank you so much for the clarification. I'm so sorry to assume that MP is male as 'she' came by to watch the Singapore Open 2005 with her siblings (?). No wonder she said that her parents were not sure whether to allow her to travel to Singapore, but she managed to convince them and I was glad she enjoyed herself during her short stay here. But, of course the Pheonix is the opposite of the Dragon and I should have known! Please forgive me MP. With Yannie, I initially mixed her up with the great musician, Yani. But her delightful face in all those pics with the professionals all at once cleared my doubts about her gender. Btw, Yannie, why don't you tell us more about yourself. I know you're very young and perhaps studying in Denmark. How long have you been there and how's your Danish? What are your plans and when do you intend to return to China to polish up on your badminton?
to me, i expect that PBSI will realize their mistake for not sending players regularly into the tournaments let see what happen to the MD later on, see whether PBSI will learn their lesson or not
All as yannie said.. Hahaha. I'm a Chinese supporter, esp Fu Haifeng, but a pretentious Indon supporter at my badmin training place.. Shhhhh You're definitely forgiven, Loh, since u made my mom convinced to let me go to SG. And I had a superb time, one of the best in my life. All thanks to u! We should have met there. Hahaha. I dunno what you mean by Phoenix is the opposite to Dragon, but I call myself Phoenix Girl while yannie calls herself Dragon Girl. We're not opposite of each other. In fact, we're soulmates.
there was once a mean and possibly mad..unforgiving teacher that taught my sis and they call her the "dragon lady"....
yannie is definitely not mean, mad nor unforgiving.. She is one of the nicest girls that I know.. Hahahaha.
As magical_phoenix has said, we're soulmates! We're really close to each other! No problem about mixing me up with Yanni, a lot of people ask me if I'm a big fan of Yanni, but yannie (with an E) is just an often used nickname of mine. Well, I turn 18 this year (young, yes) and I'm in my last ½ year of high school. I've been in Denmark since summer 1995, so it's a long time already! Grown up in Fuzhou, Fujian. Awww I miss this city so much! (Btw if anyone is interested the Chinese players go to Fuzhou to train for 40 - 50 days in February) My Danish is fluent, same with English and Chinese. Although Bao sometimes laugh at my Chinese I also speak some German and French... Future plans? Study at a Danish Uni... maybe University of Copenhagen and then go back to China to work And btw, I don't really play badminton hehe, just a great fan of the sport!
Its not that Hafiz performing badly but he just had bad draw. In Swiss Open he had to meet Xia Xuan Ze and lost. Now even worst draw, first round against China rising star Chen Jin. Btw, judging from the score, it was a tight match.
I am speechless. How can Sonny lost to Lee Tsuen Seng who never at his top form again this couple of years. And of course LTS only rank 6-7 in his country. And Thomas Cup qualification just less than a month. PBSI official must be in despair ow. If Luluk/Alven and Markis/Hendra also got bad results, it will be a big jeopardy for us in Thomas qualification. Not to mention Thomas Cup will used new score!
You are absolutely right. Most probably the weather has affected his game.On the other hand, let's not take the credit away from CJ.Watch out for this guy. He's definitely going for more scalps.
Hopefully this win will inspire LTS to revive his sagging career.Mind you LTS was once a formidable player.
