Has anybody ever had trouble with their knee, namely meniscular problems??

I've just had surgery and was wondering how long it took others to recover?

    Any help would be appreciated

Recovery depends on the part of the meniscus you injured and had surgery on. Did you injure the medial or lateral? Medial usually takes no longer than a month to heal. The lateral takes much longer and can take up to a year to heal. Did you have it repaired or did they remove some of the meniscus? I recommend you go seek physical therapy and get that range of motion back, then start strengthening those muscles around the knee. The physical therapists should be able to help you with strengthening, but you should get that rom back first. Make sure you get back full extension and flexion. If you have anymore questions, feel free to ask.

ACL Tear! Aiya . . . there might be complication later in life if you to play vigorously. ACL instability will lead to other cartilage problems. It's an ugly situation. The only way is to strengthen the quads and hope for the best.

BTW, how did the surgeon repair your ACL?

is it so? i am not sure if I have to avoid playing badminton vigorously in the future ie. after 2yrs or so... but ur mail is scary... :| yeah, i'm working on my legs very slowly. i can't go fast.
he performed orthoscopy on my knee. he took one of the ligaments from knee and bolted it in place of torn ACL...
i really regret playing badminton so vigorously. :( ... i don't know why it happend.. i had put on my new Asics Gel Blocker shoes for the first time and it happened... so i don't dare to put those shoes back again in the court...
