At least this is a good time for other players to increase their ranking points.

China's team still play in here.

They send Chen Yu, Chen Jin, Lu Lan, Wang Lin, Zhang Dan/Zhang YaWen, Sang Yang/Xu Chen, Du Jing/Yu Yang & QIAN Hong/CAI Jiani

beside Zhang/Zhang, I predict Lu Lan wil win in here.

Interesting to see Lu Lan & Wang Lin 's performance in this tournament.

I believe Go Gade means Team China didn't send their current "best", 1st tier players.

I think its a shame....We hoped to see all the best players competing in Denmark but again they stay home......Bad fore the game in Europe that very few of the big asian stars ever comes here....not good for the future....

But maybe next year..... But I dont think so, I am sorry to say....

I think there are starting to be far too many equivalent GP events in the calendar, so it is impossible to have all the top players in the same event.

IBF should work on tournament's hierarchy or the GP circuit is going to get less and less interesting... :(

That's a very nice idea! What IBF can really do is to entice as many players to join by increasing the POT prize money! Just like in tennis, wherein guys have really big checks in winning grand slams!

    Hi,
Maybe IBF cant get big sponsor like Nike, Adidas, or coca cola to sponsor these event........So, less $$$, less incentive for players??? If IBF can undertake some serious steps in promoting this beautiful game, badminton will have a very bright future;)

i read an interview of XXF, she said she will play for Denmark Open & Hong Kong Open after the 10th national games of China..

actually i think she need more rest..sigh..the 10th games badminton match will be finished on 15th oct..and then everybody need to start preparing Denmark Open, even no time to go home...too harsh for them!

though i am really happy to see XXF in HK..haha;)

Indoensia send their player in here..Atu Rosalina (semifinalist jakarta open) will start to play as qualifier in Denmark Open..
and i think some of country like Malaysia, Japan, Ned, and also Denmark still send their best player..full team...
Indonesia has to get focuse in Sea Games and Thomas&Uber Cup..
KONI has a plan to increase the medals from Sea Games..
And i think the player from China although not the best (tier 1*)..will get straight compete with the other..

I can understand why lots of Chinese players didn't come to Denmark Open. They had to play team event and individual event in China National Games that ended 15 Oct 2005. Surely they had to get a little rest before the Hongkong and China Open at the start of Nov.

At least they send their junior player and some senior player like Chen Yu and also Zhang Dan/ Zhang Ya Wen.

What I can't understand is why Indonesia team didn't send any players? ( Info: Atu Rosalina is not in the National Team anymore. So she enter Denmark Open with her own money)

The PBSI send lots of junior players in Dutch Open. So why didn't also send them into Denmark Open? If the junior players only laying a level 1 or 2 star tournament only, when they will learn to play at higher level? And its a good opportunity cause lots of strong player didn't play in Denmark Open, a 5 star tournament. At least Sonny Dwi K had the right to play in Denmark Open.

Okay, lets not take China as example. But take Malaysia woman single, Wong Mew Choo. The Malaysian kept sending her into lots of 4 and 5 star tournament.

The result? She was in INdonesia OPen Semifinal where we didn't have any of INdonesia woman player in the SF. (Quite tragic cause no China players, Korean and Denmark didn't send any strong players.) Mia Audina only won in that SF match because of her experience cause WMC play brilliantly.

When will PBSI learn? I guess NEVER.
