Yeah he was diagnosed with early stage of colon cancer last year. Had to have part of his large intestine removed. He's done amazingly well to keep playing professional badminton at the highest level.
Yeah. He is so fit and the level of physical training they undergo is beyond anybody's imagination. And hearing getting cancer for these players prove my theory wrong. Thinking that physical exercise and eating healthy foods won't get you cancer. Is it genetics?. Anyhow, wish him well . Nice to see him back after the surgery.
Eating well and exercising only reduces the RISK. Cancer is like a game of chance, it will come to each of us, depending on luck, at a certain time in our lives.
I don't see the point in planning to start both games with 0-4, then equalize and then cheap out on errors. As hard as it is for me I must admit the fact that it is as painful to watch PR play as it is to watch KS.
PR has weird gripping technique and his style is more error prone. He is not calm , rushes to the shuttle and makes lots of errors. He has to change his style. Otherwise, looking at him resembles KS playing on the court. On the contrary, KS has beautiful technique.
Naraoka looked like a club player against international until 12:19, then LZJ decided to be da club player (as usual for LZJ) and then almost choked... Narooka has to change something because he is extremely predictable - decent lift and he will never ever smash, so knowing that LZJ committed to the net at 19:20 after good lift, took drop shot very early - and that was done and dusted...
Congratulations to He Jiting/ Ren Xiangyu beating Kang/Seo for 2nd time and revenge for Paris Open last week. Bad day for Seo who also lost in XD
When you use the word "Chinese" as a noun, not as an adjective, does it include yourself? And can you name me one player that has corrected the line judge's call against himself (not to mention call out the umpire's incompetence) ? Besides, is it the player's duty and responsibility to correct line calls, regardless whose favour it's for ? Furthermore, what's the IRS for, apart from the umpire?
SYQ just bear Rasmus Gemke in 3 games. Gemke had the chance to win the match outright in 2 games but did not. Game 3 was pretty close as well.
Indeed, well-deserved congratulations to HJT/RXY for beating the reigning MD world champion twice, and that so convincingly this time. Wonder if they can catch up and overtake their compatriots, Liu Yuchen/Ou Xuanyi, for a spot at the Paris Olympics.
