Gayatri/Treesa lose to Chen/Jia in 2 games. Poor play by the Indian pair, too many mistakes.

Classic instruction from coach aryono… playing in an “Indonesian way”:

    - dont rush for big smash,,, vary the shot as much as you can
-take control of the mid court, esp. Ryan
    - be more cautious when using new shuttle (not sure why)

Is this the first time India had representatives in 4 different categories in the QF of super 500+ event?

Hell they crumbled badly in the end of G1

if fajar rian can’t get into minimum SF in both french and all england open, then it will be downhill for them

Two impressive wins by Aura Dwi Wardoyo vs Naraoka and now Antonsen. His build and movement looks like HS Prannoy - fluid and relaxed but without the killer smash. Wonder if he can casue another upset vs SYQ, who'll have a sharper attack.

New shuttles fly faster and go out more easily.

What happened to antonsen? Chico completely dominated. Did chico improved so much? Should be a good match against SYQ tomorrow

About to say, he has built his game like Prannoy, in fact better than him. More deceptive/late/near to ground..
MS is getting less physical.. Getting away from Robotic(Machine) style of play..
    Enjoyed the match..

I kinda don’t like this assumption. It is little demeaning to the players who’ve beat the players (who are holding back for major tournament). Maybe it’s true or maybe those players lost neat and clean to lesser favoured players. We’ll never know.

No one wants to lose. No one wants to lose ranking, match, tournament and money. There’s no guarantee of future, so I don’t think players will gamble that much.

I still miss the masterpiece of Lee Chong vs Lin Dan. Feels like a movie in action. No restlessness, so calm. Like Federer in tennis. MS badminton has been too fast and furious for many years and ultra marathon style too. Not that much to my liking. It’s just my opinion, but yeah everytime badminton videos come to my screen, it is always the same feeling like watching badminton for the first time when I was 12.

Without a single major title? Come one she won All England 3 times, BWF tour final and also Asian Games . These are major I believe.

Im looking forward to the MS semifinals. KV-LS should be good. Also interesting to see if Wardoyo can beat SYQ.
