Unbelievable, China is the champion. Without LZJ I felt quite confident they would. Congratulations to the players and coaches

The national youth team is playing in a tournament against Ningbo now. In the Ms the junior lost to a young man. Wonder whether he was a junior too. Pretty good beating obviously one of the best juniors

Provide the link, please. Otherwise we can't find out for you whether the said player is a junior.
    Ok, I found it.

The boy in red is Hu Zhe An, the other boy is Zhang Zijie. Both are juniors.

Watch Luo Jinyu win the Under16 title in the first match. I like his courtcraft and attacking style.

It seems to be Hu Zhe An was defeated by a younger player.

Hu Zhean is 2006. Zhang Zhijie is 2007. Both are highly rated juniors in China; both have been entered for the Dutch junior tournament starting on 28th of February.

I've read that Hu Zhean and Wang Zijun have been promoted to the national first team, but I'm unsure whether that information is accurate.

Hu Zhe An lost to a Ningbo player. I wonder who that was?

Not sure if you are looking for this match - the match starts around 01:02. Not much of help, can't read Chinese.

The video can't open. Never mind, if you go into the Abc website and to their videos all the matches are available. The videos can be identified by the duration of play.
Hu Zhe An lost in the final to a talentedn player in straight sets. It's impressive I must say as HZA is top 5 in the world

Looking at the upcoming China masters super 100 entry, only 3 MS players made the main draw (out of 40) and another 3 MS made the qualifying draw (out of 32 players!) Only 2 WS made the main draw also, and they are rather ‘old’ players including the 23 yo who lost to the Indian prodigy in the Asian championship. I wonder what is the point of even hosting this tournament if young Chinese players can’t even get into the qualifying draw?

With practically no participation in smaller tournaments at challenger and series level, there is no drive to give exposure to younger players. What is the overall direction of the Chinese BA?

These players are Li Xiang and Yang Peici or yi, the pronunciations are close. Both are no more juniors, cohorts of Liu Liang.

That player who beat Hu Zhean is Zhang Zhijie, one year younger than Hu Zhean. Zhang won the Asian U17 singles last year. He together with Hu, Pan YL and Wang ZJ are the top juniors. The next group of juniors will probably be led by Zhang n Lou Jinyu who is 15+. Lou took part in the U17 Asian juniors last year, beat one of Ina's title hopefuls but lost to Zhang Zhijie eventually.
In yesterday's Intercity tournament finals between the National YouthTeam and the National backup team, Hu Zhean was beaten by Zhu Xuan Chen. Zhu has improved substantially. The match is at 1 hr n 13 mins,

Loh Jinyu ( in white) against the said INA player in last year's Asian U17 Championship at 1 hr and 38 mins. Both were probably 15+ last year. After this match Loh lost to eventual winner Zhang Zhijie.
