I still feel Satwik smash post covid is weaker than that 4 years ago. His smash has never been the same but still so effective. Even his half smashes are effective. Goes on to show his smash prowess. Also, imagine how his prime smash would have happened (present and after 2-3 years when he’ll be 25-26). Present smash is 80 percent of prime smash for me.

HS Prannoy wilted in G2 , especially after dropping G1 , probably under the pressure of the burden of expectations in front of his home crowd who was rooting for him, cheering for every point he won.

OTOH, SYQ in the second half of G2 with a hefty lead was very relaxed, seemingly in no hurry to finish off the match, just executing a controlled game whereas HSP appeared too tensed and couldn't perform to his usual standard, otherwise I'd have thought he would seize the opportunity to up the tempo suddenly , even close the deficit and, who knows, possibly catch SYQ by surprise to turn the tables on him, thus forcing a decider; then it might be anybody's match in G3.

Anyway, in the end, it turned out to be a huge morale-boosting win for SYQ, yet another much-needed injection of self-confidence following after his resounding victory over Viktor Axelsen in the semifinals of the MAS Open the previous week. Let's see if it carries over to tomorrow's final title bout versus Lee Cheuk Yiu who's in fine form throughout this tourney, even putting up a good fight against the same Viktor Axelsen last week in the R16 at the MAS Open, albeit losing by the score of 17-21, 22-20 and 17-21, a creditable defeat, in my opinion.

Can’t and won’t explain to you because you’re too short sighted or salty to ignore what I meant. Aaron’s eye shot was unfortunate. My original comment had nothing to do with his injury. Be a little open minded in the forum at least.

You tell me, which injury BWf will treat well?. If I am not wrong, unless there is a blood injury, they wont treat you. If that is the case, no use of doctors coming to court. Yesterday, Aaron's eyes got hit by the shuttle. Fortunately, nothing happened. If doctors are there to treat players, why not allow them to treat the players in all circumstances.

Though I joined here all those years ago, I wasn’t a frequent visitor here till partway through 2023, only looking in once in a blue moon,
think my posting count was barely a hundred hence I didn’t know you’ve been covering SYED MODI before,
enjoyed your input, keep up the good work.

Just had my seat. Got the best seats I would say. Thankfully, this year management has been much better. Crowd is coming in slowly. Will be full house in 30-40 mins. @Anks any indication of your outfit which will let me know. lol
