KN is BWF’s worst nightmare. BWF want to make the game more exciting and here comes KN with his enthralling game style.

Kodai , what to say?. Thanks to him, he is converting MS to WD nowadays. Almost everybody who meets him, loses to him on stamina. Unless or otherwise he is not well, he will grind them to death. Super annoying and not so good for quality players. All the nuances of game would get lost on time if people starting to get used to it and like to follow the model to get results.

Exactly. VA being the only exception due to the advantage of VA's steep close to the line smashes :)

A not so related question: Why is that all the players of all countries only have "bank" names in their respective Jerseys?

well what do u expect fajar playing like WD with that stupid racket..can't kill front ball....loses in fast flat exchanges....can't smash at all from behind....so so defense

pretty much rian solo....and once he run out of power smashing from the back all the time the pair is done....it's a miracle they last this long for so many tourneys

SatChi going all out. It must be chilly inside the arena. Boe in jacket and spectators with mufflers as well as jackets.

Total thrashing by the Indian pair. They defeated the Danes- the same pair which was in Godly form and beat SatChi in QF of 2023 WC. 21-7 and 21-10 was the scoreline today. Awesome performance. Tomorrow will be a tough battle against 2022 WC Malaysians- the pair we beat in semis of Asian games and also 2023 Indonesia Open super 1000. We hold 2-8 record against them. We have won last 2 matches against them.

See you guys tomorrow ...What a Blast today..The corwd, the atmostphere, the cheers just everything was just amazing !!

Its 8 degrees at the moment and feels like 0 with tiny droplets of flurries in the air just cant wait to snuggle up in my blanket in the hotel.

Hate Indian winters and though inside the arena its not as cold as outside but its still cold unless you're playing or working out.

Organising matches has been worst in this tournament. The timing what a pity. Indian matches are in 9th and 10th (second last and last). Matches start at 12 noon. So I’m expecting the 9th match (Prannoy vs SYQ) to start at around 9-9:30. My plan was to go there tomorrow but now I’m dropping it. I wish they could go back to 2 courts. Each having 5 matches in semis. That used to be really good.

on the whole ms level currently is really boring, except VA, who is starting to get injured very often, LZJ overhead technique is really pathetic and not to mention not having control and still it was not easy for Kodai to go through, but he is constantly loosing nowadays to better players

He’s actually not too bad today, quite proactive and smashed quite a bit,
certainly not his usual 40 minutes set pace, i think it’s quite difficult to play his style,
long game and played with precision, to do what he does dealing with drift and different characteristics of both ends,
and to almost always finding lines at the rear court and variety of shots in mid and front court is top notch,
plus his defence is so good that you can’t just smash your way to victory,
he’ll just feed off the power and bury you before you’ve recovered from your smash action.

To give LZJ his due, he actually played his heart out and didn’t give up barring the 2nd game to save energy for the rubber,
in his previous matches recently you can actually see him stop trying,he was beaten by the better player on the day,
it was interesting to see the handshake at the finish was quite dry from LZJ and looked away immediately and walked,
normally he’s much warmer even in defeat, maybe Naraoka’s styled riled him or his grinning like Cheshire Cat coming to the net.

Hate it all you want but isn't getting results the top priority of any professional athletes?

Sure it is boring, sure it is annoying, but I don't think it's fair to call it "not so good for quality players". Because if "quality" players can't figure out a way to beat this boring and annoying style, are they truly "quality" as you call it?

As Suilven has mentioned above, the endurance and precision needed for his style should be considered "quality" as well. Don't hate the players, hate the game.

Kodai was very good yesterday. There were many times he was out of positions and with just reactions, his shots landed with interest.

With his endurance, Kodai may make himself a name playing tennis, I think.
