LZJ lost again, to no one's suprise. Lack of smooth court average and low shots quality. New Year, Same Zii Jia.

A low quality of play between Lee and Lu.
Both were afraid of making mistakes and not taking chances and initiatives.
Most points were less than 10 rallies.

Favourite MAS phrase, come back stronget, reminds me of Pearly/Thinnah. I watched the ending part of game 1 which they lost and knew it's curtains for them.

Physically they are no match to the chinese pair, speed wise also lost out.

For ManTee, their standard vs LWK\WC is like light and day

How many athletes would slide off the mat like this to let "them" see that it's dangerous and then, extending the mat's perimeter a little more?

Lu Guangzu of late has been making incremental improvement , this victory over Lee ZJ is another affirmation of it.

Lu Guangzu played very well today but it’s hard to judge as he’s playing Lee Zii Jia whose form is up and down.

On the other hand, I thought Weng Hong Yang was really good against Lahksya Sen,
but let’s not start this Lin Dan ver: 2 nonsense, we’ll see in due course how far he’s come in the coming tournaments.

Weng Hongyang, well done, very proactive, sharp and forceful coupled with good anticipation in both attack and defense as demonstrated by the way he beat Lakshya Sen just now. Keep it up.

WHY's game impresses me more than Li Shifeng, better consistency, fewer unforced errors. Personally, I feel that WHY's fitness and stamina is where he can and should improve on to really raise his game another level and stay there consistently among the top few one day.

34 year old Aswini Ponnappa paired with 20 year old Tanisha Crasto last year aiming for SOME GOOD RESULTS. Within a year , they are Top 30 now. Today they beat 7th seeds from japan to enter Quarters . They are adamant to overtake their compatriots Treesa/ Gayathri to earn a ticket for olympics. Will they do it?

I think they have a better chance than Tressa Gayatri.

That’s a shame, Srikanth was the main reason I took an interest in Indian badminton,
I would love to see him qualify for OG as his swan song on a world stage.
