He has also been entered for the Malaysia Open, where he is currently placed 2nd on the reserve list, and the India Open (here, he is 4th on the reserve list). No. The All Japan Championships (AJC) have absolutely nothing to do with the World Tour. That having been said, players' performance at the AJC is an important factor in determining wither they will retain their place on the national team, or not.
Would really like to see him play Malaysia and India but R2 and R4 is still so historically improbable for S1000 and S750, especially this close to Paris 2024.

In his victory interview after the AJC Finals, Momota reflected that, although his bid for a spot at the Paris Olympic is looking extremely difficult, not appearing will not signify the end of his badminton career. For as long as he is able to, he intends to continue playing in all tournaments that he is entered for. In short, retirement is not on the cards quite yet.
Far more important is a person’s physical and mental health. If he’s back to competition enjoying badminton, that great to see. A healthy athlete and no Olympics is far better than an unhealthy athlete at the Olympics.
