I think Kang/SEO is placed at first because they have a h2h advantage over Alfian/Ardianto. However, if the Danes won, Alfian/Ardianto will be placed 1st as there will be 3 pairs with the same amount of win so the tie breaker will be based on game differences instead. Complicated rules, I know.

Had she instead won five points in a row to win 22-20 (or win by any other numbers), she would have advanced from 4th to 1st in the group. OK guys. Can anyone state the realistic criteria in which Watan/Higas go through to the semis? Must they win Feng/Huang while praying that Dechapol/Sapsiree win Chen/Toh? Honestly, after seeing them meltdown yesterday in the second set, I don't even see the value of them going one round further to the semis only to get (probably) destroyed by Zheng/Huang or the reigning World Champs.
As far as I can see, From Yuta/Arisa's perspective: - If Yuta/Arisa win over Feng/Huang, they advance. If either they win in two games or if the Thais win, Yuta/Arisa also win the group. - If Yuta/Arisa lose, they depend on the other match: If Chen/Toh win, Yuta/Arisa are out. If Chen/Toh lose, Yuta/Arisa advance. Score is irrelevant. In both possible triangle scenarios, which both include Chen/Toh, they can be really happy that they won a game against Chen/Toh, because that is basically what makes the above so simple. In a triangle you just want to avoid being the one who won in 3 games and lost in 2. And Yuta/Arisa cannot be that in either triangle. The two triangle scenarios: - Feng/Huang, Yuta/Arisa, Chen/Toh for 1st and 2nd place, 2 match wins each. or - Yuta/Arisa, Chen/Toh, Dechapol/Sapsiree for 2nd and 3rd place, 1 match win each.

Correct. Feng/Huang is through. 2nd spots, between Chen/Toh and Yuta/Arisa but if the latter wins, they are through. Their fate in their own hands where as Chen/Toh must win and hope for Fenf/Huang to win.

Reporting from the stadium does'nt necessarily mean all the journalists or fans have direct access to the organizers. Yes we can talk to them and make them aware of their shortcomings which I do btw but eventually its their job along with BWF to ensure all the things are in place and BWF is a lame organization given I have had my fair part of interaction with the "Red shirts" and believe me they are never intrested to take feedbacks. It is BWF's job to ensure all of that and to tell the Syed Modi organisers to up their game if they want to keep the Super 300 status. And I do believe you about the feedback. We see proof of that all the time. BWF move like a turtle. And I am glad to hear you made BWF aware of the bird sh*t, which we can all agree is not good enough at a Super 300, even if they are only warm-up courts.
