My poor racquet (nf1000z) collapsed in on itself last night during an intense game. Lots of smashing. Was string at 26lbs. As said previously in this thread like 6 - 8 weeks ago I had a collision at around 10 o clock on the outside of the frame. It survived a restring, this is what it looked like. It was really hard to show the small crack, but it's on the outside of the frame going into the middle of the grommit.
strunged 3 weeks before crack at maximum tension - 12,5kg so in accident day was probably about 11-11,5 i think
I've been playing with a 4U for several weeks now. Feels 1 lb tighter than usual due to the compact frame. As a result, feels less powerful but more accurate for blocks, touch shots and serves. Sent from my SM-S918W using Tapatalk
I don't think pros will use the 4U as 3U is quite light/even balance.. and most of the broken 1000z is the 4U variant .
How are you feeling about the 1000Z? If I remember right you were using an Astrox 88D before. Do you notice the lack of headweight?
Really a weird racquet… tried the 4U version, feels powerful, I can feel the potential but it’s quite hard to obtain. Weirdly repulsive, I was not comfortable using it
My suggestion is to use a 3U version instead, It is more durable than the 4U version. This Series tends to be more fragile compare to the astrox series somehow.
