Hello, I am an intermediate player looking for new racket! My playstyle is control and speed, I like fast drive, netting, and smash from front/middle court. I have a few rackets in my mind including arcsaber 11 pro, astrox 77 pro, and astrox 88s pro. Do you have any recommendation which one I should pick, or maybe another racket?
Auraspeed 90k2 packs a punch while being speedy. Arcsaber 7 pro would be more user friendly as it suits a wider skill range
90k2 or 100x Both are very great 100x is more beginner friendly 90k2 need a good technique to fully utilize Your playstyle is the same as me... And i own both... I hated 88s,77pro is a bit HH, and 11 pro is a downgrade version of auraspeed 100x
I think fast frame such as Auraspeeds or Nanoflares will be good for you. Ax77pro is also a good option if you want a bit more punch while still being responsive.
I played most of last season with NR800. Upgrades from it that I have used are Nanoflare 800 (I bought the LT version, but I don't recommend the LT version. Stick with 800), the Astrox Nextage and the Nanoflare 1000z. Both the Astrox 77 and Astrox 88 models are great racquets. My friend uses the original Astrox 88s and it has a very crisp sound when you hit the shuttle just right. What I actually suggest is find a racquet you like and get 2-4 of them. And improve yourself as a player through knowledge and being coached. I bought an Astrox 100zz when it was new and awesome. My technique wasn't great and the racquet hurt my shoulder and I couldn't get the most out of it. Yet I have seen other players in the circles I play in use it and dominate. Even make it look amazing on defence and serving. The difference between me and those players is mostly the training they have received and how well they read the game. I still use the racquet for singles if I want an easier time with clears. But I have to limit myself to 3hrs of use before I feel pain.
Went ahead and purchased 90K ii last week. Planning to play tomorrow. Current rackets are Duora 10 LCW 3U (feels heavy, slow defense) Arcsaber 7 2nd Gen (somehow does not like to play with it) APACS Vanguard 11 (go to racket when tired) Astrox Nextage (regular playing with this for 6 months)
Please keep me posted how you find the 90k2! I’m thinking of getting the 100x but 90k2 was a close second for me, and is yours 3u or 4u?
Mine is 4U. Played for a couple of days around 14 games (Wins 11) altogether. It is effortless to play when compared to my previous rackets. Drive, net control, cross-court net drops, and defense is good. I feel smashes are not very powerful like head-heavy rackets but half smashes are very good. I was feeling my arms were heavy and slow with the old rackets but with this, it is easy and effortless.
