In the ongoing FISU 2023 held in Chengdu China lost 2-3 to Chinese Taipei in the mixed team competition, Wang Zhenxing lost 20-22 and 17- 21 to Lin Chun-yi.

Weng Hong Yang is through to the semi finals in the Australian open. He beat kodai in the 1st round, Rhustavito in the 2nd round and CTCinthe 3rd.
I felt that KN looked a bit off, but shn and ctc tried v hard to win. He has improved his defence and I think if he maintains that well he will break Lzjs spirit.
But feel the young indian has the game to win the tournament. He has the power and the talent.

I think main reasons for decline in chineese badminton are stupid decisions and actions of coaches and administration.

China builds its team according to the Olympic cycle. After the Olympic qualification period is over next year, the next batch of players will be given their chances, Meanwhile players like Wang Zhenxing and Dong Tian Yao, etc are attending Unis. They had played in some small tournaments.

Didn't read about this. If it is true, it may possibly because they want to try out Wei YX with Feng YZ as Huang DP, Zheng and Huang will most probably retire after Paris. Just my take.

Prannoy is a really tough opponent for anyone as rajawat discovered. The youngster didn't play like he did when he won the Indonesian tournament. I thought he was the best Indian player but if you can't beat Prannoy then you cannot claim that title yet.
I am afraid Why is the underdog tomorrow. But if he can win against Prannoy I will say he has " graduated". He needs all his wits to achieve that. I sincerely hope so.

Wow wow and wow WHY!!,You beat the indomitable Prannoy who is the best indian player in my humble opinion. It is a great achievement. You have certainly graduated with honours.
It was done with patience, control and wit. 19-14 down and winning in 22-20 is a fantastic performance. Even Prannoy, the audience and I cannot believe you did it. You have ARRIVED!!!
Congratulations for the super play, unbelievable!

FISU 2023 MS final. Look at the electronic scoreboard at the right hand corner for the score.

This is the 2023 National Badminton Badminton Championship schedule:
-- http://bdresult.badmintonadministra...gBo&index=0&gameIndex=0&weapon=all&gender=M&F. Please auto translate as necessary.

If you click on 2023-08-10, today's schedule will be shown. Young Hu Zhean will play seasoned Zhang Weiyi today. Yesterday, Hu Zhean was very smooth in beating his senior Wang Yifan, a very good young player who apparently has struggled with injuries. It will be interesting to see how Hu Zhean fairs against Zhang Weiyi.
