I think McJonas' saying that KJ probably swore at himself, not at Taufik.

He would never say that to any one certaintly not Taufik....
He is a very nice person and if you ever meet him I am sure that you would agree... :)

If you look up the dictionary, being polite is being "respectful and considerate of other people, being cultured and refined", perhaps the opposite of being rude.

Smiling and friendly do not quite seem to fall into this category although these outward expressions are of great help to being polite.

If players swear and use vulgar language on the courts, if they repeatedly question the officials' decisions unreasonably, if they refused to allow the change of shuttles at the request of their opponents but instead challenge them by referring to the umpire, if they unwillingly return the shuttle on their side to their opponents by abusing the shuttle with their rough flicks of the racket, if they feel they ought not apologize to their opponents for smashing the bird into their bodies, if they show their fists to their opponents, instead of elsewhere when they win a rally, if they purposely delay the game by all sorts of antics, etc., then they are not well-behaved!

Unfortunately, their behaviour can only be seen when they are competing on court and not outside of it. So their actions on court will mainly be judged as being rude or otherwise.

Just how many such players can you find who have not committed such untoward behaviour? Not many, I'm afraid. But Mrs Kuncoro must be pleasantly surprised if I say, so far I've found Sony Kuncoro beyond reproach and I hope Sony will continue to be a good role-model. Maybe it's because of his mild manners and quiet disposition and the influence of his coach, who is a quiet man himself.

Of course, I expect others to have quite a different set of meaning to the word polite. ;)

I agree with you in allmost every thing. But if the players go over the line juring the game, then the umpire will certainly confront them and in the game between KJ and Taufik no sign of this toke place.

So if we all bace our oppion opon some comment we heard juring a single game, then I dont think that the would be any polite sports men or women in this world, perhaps excluding Sony Dwi.

This hole article is who is the nicest player and not if the players can live up to the essens of the word polite, becaurse not many can if you go to bottom of it....;)

Definitely have to disagree with that. IMO, she was very sweet. She even climbed up the audience seats fence just to take pic with me her fan.

The japanese players are generally more polite than players from the other countries. Period.
