Most of the players in training team are injured; Gu jufeng, Gao zhenshe, Wang zhenxing and Don tian yao. Even Liu liang seems to be injured

None of them are exceptional, i am afraid.
Looking forward to Chen Bo Yang and Liu Yi in MD at the Canadian Open. They are impressive and may spring a surprise against the top Japanese pair

Liu Liang, Dong Tianyao and Sun Chao, all 19 years old, have massive potential. But we know that China ‘wastes’ a lot of talent. Recent examples include multiple WJC and AJC winners like Zhou Meng, Lin Fangling and Di Zijian; all deemed surplus to requirements (or at least not worth retaining in the national team)
    Hope history doesn’t repeat itself.

As I expected LLX lost, but in 3 sets. Not bad. Looking forward to a rematch next week.

Wow Lsf outplayed KN in all depts. I am very impressed with his game. Kn is not an easy player to beat. But Lsf had total control of the match. I think its the first time it's not a 3 setter. Lsfs game. has improved a lot. His smashes are well timed, stronger , deceptive and accurate. Kudos to Bin Qiao. Congratulaions. And now another player to beat. Not easy but if LSF plays the same way i feel the match will go to him. For me now he is Chinas No 1

I have seen Hu Ze An playing before, he is so frustrating to watch. He is a typical china player who expects to win off the errors of his opponent. He doesn't attack. Is this Chinas best 17 year old? Useless is my opinion of his style of play. How can the coaches pick someone like him. He played the same way in Europe.. Boring

China deserves to lose. Bad selection by the coaches. What a disappointment. Replace the coaches, i say.

As usual for China, players will peak for the olympics. SYQ needs to start winning some titles or maybe even the world championship if he doesn’t wanna get overtaken by LSF as China’s no 1 MS. At this point, idk how LGZ is gonna make it to the olympics, he has somehow start performing super well to stand a chance.

2023 China Northern region U15-17 finals. You can watch Zhang Zhijie play at 1hr and 47 minutes. He is in blue. born in 2007. He has reached the last 16 in the ongoing AJC with 2 good wins against a Japanese player and Malaysia's second seeded player. Not bad for a first timer to an international tournament. Let's see how far he will progress Couldn't find the videos of the two matches. So I am sharing the video below

Saw Zhang Zih Jie playing against a foreign player for the first time today. I must say this boy has potential. Quite an explosive player. Reminds me of Lin Guipu at the same age..

Yes I agree with the assessment. I like his anticipation, defence, enthusiasm and his style. Thete is no restrictions to his game. He plays very naturally, and i hope he will be allowed this free spiritness

Congratulations HZA I didn't expect that he would win, as he makes many errors and Yudai is a strong attacker. But credit to HZA.
Surprising individual performance by China having lost early in the team event. Shows they needed more exposure internationally.
