Hello, for the first time, i tried nanoflare 800 LT that was strung at 27lbs, ultimax BG66. and boy, i really like this racket.. although it dont pack a punch as compare to heavier racket, least, my arm and shoulder dont hurt that much. i can even do a backhand clear with it. i knew the main characteristic of this racket was Flex STIFF Weight / Grip 5U (Avg. 78g) ok, the downside is this racket is kinda expensive for me.. costing above $250.. i know to some, this is a good investment.. was thinking of getting something similar but at lower cost while i continue to hone my skills while waiting for the price to drop further? will the li ning windstorm be close to this nanoflare 800 LT?
Theres an Apacs Nanofusion 722 which i felt was playing very well for a 6U racket. You could probably check that out. Victor Auraspeed 90F 5U is pretty good aswell. but they're not a stiff as the 800lt

Be careful with your elbow on the NF800lt. Mine is the 5UG5 size iirc I've had to take mine out of my bags because even though it is a dream to play with, it really messes up my elbow (caused or made worse a tennis elbow injury which I am still not cured of 6 months later).
yea, you are right. the 772 indeed is nice to use, very light weight, no stress to the shoulder. strung it at 25lbs, really cheap and good
It is possible, but not very likely. I've played with a lot of racquets my experience was Astrox 100zz hurt my shoulder playing with it for extended periods of time and NF800Lt hurt my elbow. A left hander I spoke to also had the same experience with these racquets
so far, i think NF800 LT is easy, able to smash and lift correctly. net play, need more strength. but wrist kinda hurts recently. dont know if its from 800 LT or my wrong handling?
Write down everything you have changed in the last 2 weeks or month. Diet, exercise, specific badminton training etc. If your wrist hurts from badminton, then it either isn't strong enough, or you are maybe holding the racquet far too tight when doing clears / smashes. Or it could be the cursed super light, stiff racquet (I still agree with the smash and lift comment you said, it's a great sound when hitting the sweet spot. My backhand lifts can sound like a smash with it). If your net play "needs more strength", then you might be holding the racquet too tight.
actually, its a shame.. my health had not been good lately as i was diagnosed with costochondritis.. i can't played too hard as it will hurts after my body start to cool off and the next few days, i had to subdue with painkillers. so now, i casually play twice a week, probably lesser than my usual of 2 hours. i also lost around 5kg. i was pretty active, used to play 3 times per week. daily cardio exercise of 10 mins to keep my body fit. ya, i had the tenancy of holding the racquet too tight.. in fact, the whole body is.. my mind is telling me to do the best in each every game. but often, the more i think of it, the more mistakes i made. when the game ends, i ponder at my mistakes. thinking how can i be better, improving myself. more pro active, attack more than passive.
would really suggest to get 3u forgiving racket (not 5u stiff and compact head), bigger head and flexy (at most mid stiff) with even balance - something like good old arcsaber 11 (not the new one pro version), speedy 3u racket would help you not to overstretch during strokes
I would also recommend looking into a Victor racket with Freecore handle. Freecore reduces vibrations so there's less shock to your hand and wrist. Consider Auraspeed 90f (medium-flex), Hypersonic, BS12SE, JS12ii (medium-stiff), 100x (stiff).
i had a couple of other inexpensive rackets, mainly in 4u as 3u is kinda heavy and i dont find it as forgiving. the moment you had mistakes in your handling, it will hurts the wrist or the arm. hence, i still would much prefer a lighter racket. as this is the first purchase of an expensive racket, i would still find it mediocre. i would emphasize the important of a shoe than racket. maybe the racket would just aid my skills 1%
It sound like a less stiff 4u racket would've been a better fit for you. Also I totally agree about getting good shoes. Starting out with higher end shoes is way more effective than starting out with a higher end racket.
haha, yea. in my earlier posts, i mentioned i bought an apacs 722. same or light weight, less stiff. and in fact, i'm kinda enjoying it over the 800LT..
