Other than the services errors from Liang , i believe in G3 Wang makes more mistakes. He is making crazy shot cum slash numerous times. Is he Kevin wannabe? I dont know.

Liang is gonna cost them big time if they dun figure something out soon, he might not even be able to serve in the olympics at this rate

Of course, they were a good pair. If you see they have beaten almost everyone except close matches with ahs/set and Reddy/Shetty. I would say they are NOT over rated by any means. From the years they played they managed to get to 2 world tour finals (along with 2 consecutive all england titles), which shows that they were performing consistently well.

Well, this is a bit surprising. I thought the Indonesians are gone by the time they're trailing 11-17 in the last game with Rambitan exhausted and clearly having mobility issues since returning after the freak injury (but he has nice racket skills, I wonder if it's always the case or it's something he developed due to his injury). The rest I can't really comprehend. Congrats to Rambitan/Kusumawardana.

Both Zhang Yiman and Intanon Ratchanok are amazing in their respective encounters with the formidable and intimidating Akane Yamaguchi, with mixed fortunes, on in defeat, the other in victory.

Zhang Yiman really gave AY a scare coming so close to beating her after a lopsided win each whilst the decider was a close affair, well-fought from beginning to end but, unfortunately for ZYM, who didn't have the legs to finish it off despite holding two matchpoints. Nevertheless, ZYM deserved a pat on her shoulder, better luck next time.

As for Intanon, she dropped G1 and barely equalised with G2, and in the 3rd set, I thought she's going to lose on fitness and stamina when AY pulled level at 16-all, to suffer the same fate as ZYM. But, no, she actually held her ground and stunned me by spurting to the finishing line albeit not without a little help from AY who committed a couple of unforced errors at critical moments.

A rousing performance by IR, indeed. Way to go !

Lastly, looks like some of these WS seemingly past their prime and in their twilight years of badminton are not ready to bow out yet, namely, Tai TY, C Marin, P V Sindhu, now add Intanon R, except perhaps Nozomi Okuhara who seems plagued by injuries.

WC gonna be wide open again this year in MD, basically the same as last year. I still think MD level has gone down compared to let's say 7-10 years ago, but nowadays it's definitely harder to predict who's gonna win

Ouch, Wang Chang/Liang Weikeng screwed up G3 when leading at one stage by as much as 17-11 !

In my opinion, what this highly promising young guns lack most is experience, the ability to adjust their game to their opponents and deal with the changing situation as it goes along. And,well, yes, their consistency is not up there up , still some way to go. The good thing is that time is on their side, being still only 21/22 years of age.

    It's getting better.

They had a few small talks yesterday and maybe more which were not captured on tv.

During the break, they were facing each other rather than away from each other.

Currently INA MD is in a complicated situation.
Their performance is almost all erratic.
There is no pair who really can be relied upon to win the title.
And I can't understand the reason for being "injured" for a continuous defeat in 1st or 2nd round. If you are injured, you shouldn't have to compete and just focus on recovering.

INA MD is too competitive because too many pairs fighting for Olympic place.

Got to play on even when you have minor injuries.

Tang/Tse vs Watanabe/Higashino XD is going great in G3.

Edit: The Japanese win and move on to the finals. Great match overall, I hope the Hong Kong pair can go further and overcome their opponents in future matches.
