Not the greatest looking racquet but the yellow colour scheme sure stands out compared to others in the Yonex range.

    Yup, i know Z.
    ZStrike
    ZForce
    ZSlash
    The legendary "Z".

Im kinda wondering are YY are in confusion when naming their product

    Z series
    Numbering - 38D, 68D, 88D
Naming - 88D Pro, Tour, Games, Play
Back to Z again mixed with naming.

Also, from the pics of the racquet its badged 1000ZZ. No idea why they've dropped a Z and called it 1000Z.

    the price is concerning..
it is currently priced at 33000 Yen which is the most expensive Yonex badminton racket to date. As comparison most expensive racket 100zz is about 31900 Yen and 99 Pro 30800Yen.

Compact frame, and extra stiff- now that's interesting! Always wanted to see a compact frame nf700 and this could be it. Can't wait for reviews!

I’m excited at the release of Nanoflare 1000 Z. The head light, thicker compact frame and extra stiff shaft reminds me of the Nanospeed 9000 Type X that I loved playing with. Tech-wise, it certainly has changed. Curious to know how it would actually feel like.

Waiting for them Volant guys to try and recommend their matte black racket instead, regardless of 1000z performance

Interesting if its headheavy, the stiffness indicator isn't far left either. But why does it say 10mm when Yonex main page lists this as a 5mm racket.

Seem Yonex is running out of ideas pretty fast, from power bumper to control bumper and now speed bumper grommets lol. Can't make the racket any faster so shorten the racket length like the 88S series, slap on a compact frame yet use a thicker shaft. I am getting Zslash vibes tho especially since they added in Ultra PEF :O

Nope, it just the usual Yonex Illusion Magic. Using logical normal stuff, naming it with cool name, & makes it look like serious grand invention.

I hope it will be in between the NF700 and NF800 instead but I don't think it's going to happen.

I think if they'd added yellow colour strip(like the 12 o'clock region) on both sides at 9 & 3 o'clock to break up the black, it would properly look a lot nicer. Because yellow and black is a nice striking colour scheme but contrast between the head and shaft looks odd, not blending in harmoniously as a whole.

I agree, and maybe replace the yellow grip with a black one.
