It's quite a bummer that the new motor won't fit the short version of the Stringmaster. Makes me wonder if I should go for the long base or not since I already have the Wise and it still runs perfectly o_O

I've just got it today. I couldn't resist to cut a string and restring my racket
I am really impressed with the overall quality of the machine. Everything is really sturdy but maaan, it's really heavy!
The most amazing parts are the clamps and base clamps. Just these two are worth the money.

Really glad you’re happy with it. And yeah, the clamps and bases are the two things that really stand out. And the fact that it weighs a ton.

Currently in prototype status only. Going by specs only this thing should be really cool. I mean, it’s chain driven…

Close to 900 bucks for the motor only is not a bargain, so it will be interesting to see how it compares to the good old WISE.

Yes and from the video, it looks like it is a fair bit faster than the previous prototype

Correct. The previous prototype was not chain driven and will not be realised to my understanding.

If everything goes well, I’ll get my fingers on that new prototype in the next couple of weeks.

I always preferred chain-driven - faster, quieter; it takes a very, very good (read: expensive) double ball-screw arrangement - as Yonex uses on its top machines - to beat it for sound and speed.

How tight should I mount the racket ? When I mount the racket by slightly touching the racket, it seems to rotate a little bit (2mm). Should I tighten it more (and stressed the racket) ? Or is my side support to slippery?

With the smooth side supports you can’t avoid those 2 mm movement. And that’s fine.

Here’s my mounting routine as reference:

Oh ok, thank you. I was mounting my rackets based on your video actually :D. Just that it was bothering me that the racket rotates and on some, makes a slight squeak sound

that's okay, nothing to worry about. If you want to prevent the racket from moving and squeaking, you could glue pieces of grip tape on the side supports, right where they touch the frame. I don't think it's really needed though.

How does the Gamma stand look at the top? I mean, worst case is that you need to drill more holes into the top plate of the Gamma stand. I did the same with my old Superstringer stand and it works perfectly with only two screws fixing the machine for example.

    looks like this.

I guess when the time comes I'll just buy the machine and drill the holes if needed

With a bit of luck you have some holes already matching the pattern on the machine.

Anyone knows if it's possible to have more friction on the turn table? I would like to make it turn less easily to reduce the shaking when tensioning as it does not have the "brake" function that professionals machine have.

I don't see a way how to achieve that. IMO the turntable break isn't needed at all - you want to give the rackets some freedom to move and to let itself adjust.
